Happy Friday! Fins up friends! It is Jimmy Buffett day and I’ll be celebrating all day! He’s always a favorite!
This has been a busy week and I have some favorites for you. Let’s get to it!
Favorite 1: JIMMY BUFFETT! If it is not between 7 and 10 am, I am usually listening to Radio Margaritaville. I’m listening all day today and most likely all weekend. It is Jimmy Buffett Day and I am in! It is a day of service so I plan to do a few extra kind acts and I will be celebrating 5 o’clock somewhere!
Favorite 2: FIRST DAYS OF SCHOOL! The boys had a few firsts this week. Monday was orientation and their class retreats and they didn’t have to wear uniforms. Tuesday was the official first day of school in regular uniforms. Wednesday was their first special dress days with blazers and ties. They are working hard and it has been a great first week!
Favorite 3: BOOKS! My friend Amy and I have been processing hundreds of new books for our school library. That is always a favorite! I shared the books I read this month on Tuesday. There are a lot of good ones there.
Favorite 4: POOL! The boys have been asking to go to the pool in the evenings so I took Luke one night, Jack one night, and Jack worked one night. It was chilly but I enjoyed reading and chatting with my friends to relax after work. I am looking forward to spending a lot of time there this weekend!
Favorite 5: EASY DINNERS & LEFTOVERS! I went back to work for teacher week this week and the boys are back to school so easy dinners have been a favorite. They do not need to pack a lunch this year so there are more leftovers which makes another easy dinner! I feel like I am winning twice – no packing lunches and leftovers can be dinner! This week we had tacos, egg casserole, sausage on a sheet pan, and leftovers. I am hoping I can keep this rotation (3 new dinners and 1 leftover) for the next few weeks as we get into our routine.

I am ready for this long weekend and I cannot wait for three relaxing days. The weather looks perfect for sunshine and books by the pool before it closes Monday evening. I hope you have a great weekend full of sunshine and books too!
So many fabulous favorites this week! I think my favorite might be your last one though.. getting to have leftovers for dinner is a huge win as is not packing lunches!

First day(s) of school pics are great! We havenāt made it to the pool on a school day evening but we used to when the kids were little. Such a treat.enjoy your three day weekend!
