Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week! I did. It was a good mix of pool time and home time. While I did feel a little weird to be inside when the sun was shining, I got caught up at home on Wednesday and Thursday which was much needed! I have some favorites for you today, so let’s get to it.

Favorite 1: SWIMMING!! We had another great meet on Saturday! My parents came and the kids swam well. We won, which is always a favorite!

Favorite 2: THE GM! I am the swim team coach and write the practices, think about what we need to work on, do some computer and paper work, and cheer my heart out at the meet. However, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays Jeff, our team GM, works on the scouting report for our upcoming meet. Jeff analyzes our competition’s results from each meet and prepares for our strategery meeting on Wednesday afternoon/evening. We sit down and look at each time for each event to put together the best lineup based on what we think the other team will do. It’s pretty intense, but I love it and there is no way I could do it without Jeff!
Favorite 3: CROCK POT! I cannot believe I am typing this, but Summer Sarah loves a crockpot. I used it the past two nights for dinner and it made it so much easier to relax all afternoon. I made shredded chicken with BBQ seasoning from Rendezvous in Memphis and then we added Sweet Baby Ray’s to the chicken after I shredded it. I also made the Birria from Aldi in the crockpot. I followed the directions right on the package and shredded it right up for tacos/nachos/burrito bowls.

Favorite 4: HOT DOGS! Our swim team is doing a fundraiser on Wednesdays at the pool. It is $5 for a hot dog, chips, and a gatorade and we are making a bunch of money. Our team rep, my partner in crime, even dressed as a hot dog this week! It’s a double win for me – no lunches to pack and we support the team.

I love the spirit and excitement Kelly brings to everything and here we are at two meets accidentally matching!

Favorite 5: PRIME DAY! I made a big old cart for Prime Days and I have been watching prices as they add prime day deals. The main thing on my list was a computer for Luke. It is already here and he loves it!

I also added the white version of the best Amazon cardigan, an update for some of my sports bras, speakers the boys had their eyes on, lip sunscreen, eye patches, Nuun tablets, a new style of skort, and a backpack cooler. I am trying to only purchase things we actually need or use and not get too excited by the deals.
Favorite 6: FRIENDS! I met some friends for dinner on Tuesday night and it was so fun. We sat at our table for close to three hours catching up. Of course we text and send each other funny reels or memes, but it was so good to talk in person!

Don’t forget that today is 7-11 day! This is always a favorite! Free slurpees for all! We love to celebrate this holiday! I think we’ll go in shifts this year because Jack and Jeff have to work.

We have a busy weekend ahead of us. Jack has his first driver’s ed drive time and I am going to dinner with my parents while he drives. We have a swim meet on Saturday and Jeff’s parents are coming. My mom is hosting a cousins reunion this weekend and I am going to go on Sunday to see everyone. I’ll see you back here for Hello Monday! Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

What a fun week! Those $5 meals sound like a real win all around and that hot dog costume is a riot.
What a great and active summer week! The weekend you have on tap also sounds like a blast. Love that Jeff is the GM and scouts- that is so cool!
What a great day of swimming on Saturday! Good job to the kids!
Crockpots are great over the summer, they certainly heat the kitchen up less than the oven.
I love the hot dog costume, what fun and for a great cause too!
It sounds like you had a great evening with your friends!
Love the hot dog!
What a great week! Swim season is a lot of work, but it looks like you are having so much fun…and I’m sure it’s rewarding being a coach. I got together with some friends recently and it was just nice to visit for a couple of hours. Oh the perks of summer! I hope you had a great cousin reunion,
