Friday Favorites – 7/4/25

Happy Friday! Happy 4th of July! I have a few favorites for you today, so let’s get to it!

Linking up with Erika and Andrea

Favorite 1: TOPGOLF! We gave my dad a trip to Topgolf for Father’s Day. We went yesterday and it was so much fun. I came in last place almost every time, but I had fun! My dad was good, no surprise, and so were the boys. Jack played one game right handed (he’s a lefty) and still beat me. Come on kid, give your mom a chance! We had some yummy food and lots of laughs!

Favorite 2: WEIGHTED VEST WALKS! It has been so humid, so early morning walks are the way to go. I’ve been doing Peloton walks and walks on my own with a podcast or two. I didn’t always love running the same route over and over again, but I really don’t mind walking the same route.

Favorite 3: BOOKS! I haven’t been reading very much, but I am enjoying the two books I am reading right now. I am listening to Nate Bargatze’s book and it’s funny.

I am reading Wendy Wax’s new book and just getting into it. I am excited that it seems the Ten Beach Road ladies are going to be characters. I didn’t realize it was in the series or series adjacent, so this is a fun surprise.

Favorite 4: BIRTHDAYS!! We celebrated my mom’s birthday on Monday with a delicious dinner. The food was so yummy, but the conversations were even better. My mom and dad told us some good stories about my grandparents and my mom growing up. I love learning new stories about our family. We sang happy birthday at the regular speed and the v-e-r-y s-l-o-w speed of the birthday cake plate. Happy birthday Mom!

Hello Monday
Currently

We are spending our day at the pool today and I am looking forward to the “independent” fireworks displays around the house. We usually see quite a few from our house. It’s going to be an early night for me though, because we have our first home swim meet tomorrow. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

You and your mom look cute in your lily and I love your mom’s bday cake earrings! So fun! Those stories are priceless. My Dad told us so many and we loved them!
