Friday Favorites – 6/6/25

Advertisements

Happy Friday! Today is our last full Friday of the school year. When the day starts I only have 20 media classes left to teach and at 2:15 I will be down to 12 classes. I can do it! I have some favorites for you today, so let’s get to it!

Linking up with Erika and Andrea

Favorite 1: BOOKS! I saw Kristy Woodson Harvey with my mom on Saturday and it was a great afternoon. I am so excited to read her new book Beach House Rules!

I am reading When the Rivers Merge by Mary Alice Monroe. It is so good! I love how much she loves nature and weaves it into her stories.

Favorite 2: SUMMER (for Jack)!! Jack finished his exams on Wednesday. I cannot believe he is halfway through high school! Time is really flying! We took our traditional last day of school picture on the porch and I realized just how much shorter than him I am. That boy is growing!

Favorite 3: CLAY!! In our county, the kids do a clay project almost every year in art. This year Luke made a 5 sided cube (the top is open). He made it for me and put my favorite things on it – beach, pool, library, book (The Very Hungry Caterpillar). I love it!!

Favorite 4: CHAT GPT! My sister put pictures into Chat GPT and asked it to turn us into babies. How funny is the picture of Jeff and me?

Favorite 5: PT GRADUATE!! Luke had his checkup with the orthopedic doctor and in physical therapy for his knee this week. I think I mentioned this a while ago but he has Osgood Schlatter’s in his knee and has been working to feel better. Both the orthopedic doctor and his physical therapist said he is healing well and can get back to his regular activity. He does have exercises and stretches to do every day, but this is wonderful news!

Hello Monday
Currently and Hodgepodge

Our weekend is a little calmer than we’ve had recently and I am looking forward to it. If I had to guess, there will be some pool time and some golf course time. Luke has his 8th grade dance tonight and he is excited to go! I can’t wait to hear how much fun he has! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
