Happy Friday! I cannot believe it is Friday already! This week has flown by, but it’s been filled with good stuff! I have some favorites to share with you, so let’s get to it!
Favorite 1: GOLF!! Jack’s golf team won the JV league championship on Monday and went undefeated for the whole season. 12-0! It is the first time they have done that and it was fun to watch! Jack played really well and is playing better, smarter golf. He had a blast this season!
Favorite 2: TRACK!! Luke ran in the county 8th grade track and field playday this week. He ran the two mile and did a great job! I was a little nervous about his knee, but the physical therapist said he was ready to do it. It was fun to see all the kids cheering each other on and having fun!
Favorite 3: BOOKS!! Oh my goodness! I am reading so much these days. I love it but the amount of books on my TBR with a deadline is a little stressful. I am still speed reading the books for our Battle of the Books committee and I am on a reading team for Ali Brady’s new book Battle of the Bookstores. It is great to have so many great books to read, but I need more time in my days!
Favorite 4: EXERCISE! I have been working on closing all my Apple watch rings and I did it for the 1250th time this week. Jeff and I have been walking together in the evening, catching up on our days. I’ve done some resistance workouts, too. It’s been a good addition to my days.
Favorite 5: LISTS!! I have always been a list girl and they are saving me this week. I have lists of lists going to make sure I don’t forget anything. The boys are getting confirmed this weekend and we are having a party for them – lists. We are down to 19 days left of school – lists. I am getting the membership stuff ready for the pool to open next weekend – lists. I am getting ready for our swim team season – lists. I have books I need to read in the next 10 days – lists. The list of lists goes on and on. 😉
We have a fun weekend ahead of us. My sister is in town – yay!! Some are playing golf. Luke is playing lacrosse. There is a confirmation rehearsal. The Preakness is Saturday evening and we’ll be watching. We are having a party on Sunday afternoon for the boys’ confirmation and they get confirmed Sunday night. Am I ready? Sure! It will all happen and it’s going to be fun. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!
I often feel that way about my book lists too! I had to return a few back to the library unread and I hate when that happens (even though I remind myself I can always check them out again later and no one really cares but me). Good luck with the party and all your weekend things!
