Friday Favorites – 3/28/25

Happy Friday! I am always excited to see Friday and today is no different. I worked all five days this week and am ready for a weekend!

Linking up with Erika and Andrea

Favorite 1: LILLY! I inadvertently had a Lilly week. I wore my Emora pants on Monday, a Lilly necklace on Tuesday, a Lilly sweatshirt on Wednesday, and my favorite Lilly sweater on Thursday. After I got to school, I realized I have a coral and white striped sweater that would’ve looked great with those olive pants on Tuesday. I mentioned yesterday that Lilly is my favorite for spring

Favorite 2: BAGS! I ordered this Lands End bag on sale a while ago and just switched to it for my purse. After one day, I love it! In fact, it is on sale again and I am thinking about ordering it in green, too. It’s big enough to use as my purse. I carried it as a crossbody today. It felt a little big, but I am getting used to it. I love it as a shoulder tote, too!

Favorite 3: DAFFODILS! Our school has a courtyard close to the media center and spring is blooming! The daffodils are so pretty and bring me joy each time I see them. I love how springy they are with their bright yellow. I was reading Bear Wants More to my kindergarten students and the daffodils were the first sign of spring they noticed in the book.

Favorite 4: CHEESE! Luke and I read the entire Spy School series and one of the characters talks about aerosol cheese all the time. Luke had no idea what it was and kept asking about it. I finally got some at the store and introduced him to this delicacy from my childhood. Everyone loved it!

Favorite 5: BASEBALL! I almost forgot it was Opening Day. Yikes! We watched the Braves this afternoon. Baseball is a long season, but it is one more sign that we are in spring and things should be getting warmer soon!

Favorite 6: BRACELETS!! A few weeks ago Kathryn, my go to bracelet gal, had a sale and I picked up these three. Don’t they make the absolute perfect spring stack????

Favorite 7: SUNSHINE AND BOOKS! I have been reading a bunch this week and enjoyed the sunshine, even though it was a windy sunshine. I finished listening to Colin Jost’s book walking the track while Luke’s soccer team warmed up. I have been putting my phone down earlier in the evening and reading more, which always feels good. I am purposely getting outside, even if it’s cold, because the fresh air and sunshine do this body good!

Favorite 8: STUDENTS! Look at this fantastic bookmark a student gave me on her way to the bus yesterday. She is quite a voracious reader and we are always talking books when I see her. 😍

Favorite 9: CAVIAR CASSEROLE! We all love an egg casserole at our house. When the price of eggs skyrocketed, I started referring to it as caviar casserole because chicken eggs were on their way to rival the price of sturgeon eggs (caviar). This week I added sausage, spinach, red pepper, and a little cheese. It was really good and the Parsons were hungry so I didn’t get a picture until after dinner.

Favorite 10: SANDALS! I am on the hunt for sandals that do not look orthopedic and do not hurt my old lady feet. Someone, maybe Jen, shared these and I ordered them. They are so cute and comfortable for the little shuffle I did around my front hall. I didn’t think they looked old ladyish, but Jack walked by them and said “wow, locked in on the granny shoes Mom” so I guess the jury is still out. Ha!

Don’t mind my “pedicure”. My feet are not quite sandal ready. 😂

The tote is so cute! The bookmark is so sweet! The sandals weee chunkier than i expected but they are comfy and I think cute! I’m hoping to wear them more if the weather would cooperate!

I just placed a Lily order this week! I remember eating aerosol cheese a lot as a kid too and I don’t think my boys would have any idea what I was talking about.
