Happy Thursday! It’s the last Thursday of the month so I am linking up with Holly and Patty to answer 10 fun seasonal questions. I love thinking about my answers and seeing everyone else’s answers, too!

Before we get to the spring fashion, I would like to have a little vent. IT IS STILL COLD HERE!! I am so tired of being cold, wearing winter clothes, and the wind. I changed our sheets yesterday and very begrudgingly put the flannel sheets back on. I am so ready to wear these clothes we are talking about today and I hope the warm weather gets here soon! Lilly does give us this reminder:

Ok, vent over. Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, I am ready to talk about spring fashion. I love putting my winter clothes away for the year and breaking out all the warmer weather items. Let’s get to it!

1-Favorite spring outfit?
I love a dress with sandals. If I am going to be sporty, I love when it is just warm enough to wear shorts or a skort and a long sleeve tshirt. It’s perfection!

2-Favorite spring fashion staples?
I always have a cardigan with me in the spring. It is perfect to throw on over a dress, tank, or short sleeve shirt. Cardigans are my go to!

In the beginning of spring, I am wearing my winter Lilly because the colors say spring, but the outfits are warm enough. The Emora pant is perfect for this! I am linking Amazon because they aren’t on the Lilly site right now. There are a bunch on Poshmark and ebay, but see question 7 for my success with them.

3-Favorite colors to wear in spring?
All of them! I rarely shy away from color. Especially in spring the brighter and more colorful, the better an item is! I love bright pinks, greens, blues, corals, oranges, and a good crisp white.

4-Do you change up your handbag for a new season?
I sure do. I have a few Barrington bags that I rotate through and I got a new Lands End bag this year. I haven’t purchased their bags (purses for me, totes for them) in a long time, but I loved the heart bag my mom gave me. This one looks fun and I am breaking it out today for the first time!

5-Favorite spring scents?
Anything but Bradford pear trees. P-U! I love peonies so much, but Jeff’s allergic so I don’t bring them in the house.
6-Favorite stores or sites for spring items?
Lilly is my perpetual spring favorite! I like Loft or Old Navy for a more trendy top to brighten up my wardrobe, too.
7-Do you thrift? Favorite thrift/consignment sites/shops?
I do not thrift much. I do sell items on ThredUp when I have a full box. I have purchased a few things on Poshmark, but it feels like a lot of work. I also got burned once, so I am a bit hesitant.
8-Styles you aren’t feeling this spring?
Barrel jeans. Are they even still in? I just feel like they are not my best look. I am feeling unprepared for this question so I did a quick google search. It seems bohemian is in. That is not for me either.
9-Any dress up events this spring?
We do have a few dress up events this spring. One of my friends is getting married in April. I like to get dressed up for Easter. The boys are getting confirmed in May and we will dress up for that, too.

10-Complete wardrobe overhaul or just a few pieces this year?
While I would never turn down a complete wardrobe update, I am going to add a few pieces. I have learned that I get the most wear out of new clothes when they are a classic take on something slightly trendy. It is a rare spring that I don’t add a Lilly dress or other item to my wardrobe.
I am on the hunt for sandals that are very comfortable for my old lady foot but do not look like they are orthopedic sandals in a costume. There is a very fine line between comfy and still cute and straight up looks like an orthopedic sandal my fashionable Mommom would wear. If you have any suggestions, please send me links. I do not even care if they are affiliate links. You deserve that commission if you found comfy, cute sandals!
I would like the weather to cooperate with our conversation today. Do you hear me Mother Nature?? We are officially ready after talking spring fashion for ten great questions. Let’s go! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

It is still cold here too friend- same girl same- I LOVE those pink pants with the ruffle hem- where did you get them? I know I can always count on you to bring out the Lilly- Amen to that meme! 🙂
They are from Crown & Ivy at Belk. That line has a lot of items that look a little wild like Lilly and the solids are a very close match to Lilly’s colors.
Oh I am feeling the same way! I am just so ready for it to warm up already! I just love that coral jumpsuit.
I don’t think I have seen barrel jeans looking good on anyone, except maybe a teenager!
I think real spring is headed our way this weekend. No more fake spring! I love all of your outfits and barrel jeans are a hard pass. Thanks for joining us.
I can’t wait for consistent sandals weather. I love a dress, cardigan , sandals combo – that’s spring to me. It’s been chilly hear this week and next week doesn’t look much better. You’re great about wearing lots of color. Hopefully the weather will cooperate soon.
