Happy Friday! I cannot believe it’s already the first Friday in October! I had a good week and have some favorites to share with you so let’s get to it!
Favorite 1: JEFF!! We celebrated Jeff’s birthday this week. It was a quiet evening but we had a yummy dinner, lots of family time, chocolate peanut butter bars, and watched the Falcons together. Happy happy birthday!! We love you!
Favorite 2: SUNSHINE!! Oh my goodness, I was so so happy on Thursday to see the sunshine! After 12 straight days of rain, that sun was so needed! I made a few extra trips outside at school just to soak it up.
Favorite 3: HALF-BIRTHDAYS! We measure the kids on our door frame on their birthdays and half-birthdays. Jack’s half-birthday was Monday or Tuesday, so I marked him on the wall. He’s grown a bit since his birthday and it still feels weird to me to look up at him.
Favorite 4: HAIRCUTS! I usually get my hair cut about once a year. It’s only been nine months since my last chop, but it was time. I love getting my hair blown straight when it’s cut. I really like this cut when my hair is curly, too.
Favorite 5: ONLINE ORDERING! I have been ordering and returning more than usual this week and I am so grateful for speedy online shipping and returns. I’ve made in store returns, Amazon at Kohl’s returns, USPS returns, and UPS returns. It feels like a part time job at this point, but I am so grateful that I can get these sent to my house easily, figure out what size we need, and return quickly.
Favorite 6: THURSDAY GROCERY PICKUP! I am back in the habit of doing my meal planning during the week and scheduling our grocery pickup for Thursdays. It is so much easier when we go into the weekend with meals planned and the pantry stocked.

We have a pretty low key weekend, but I have a big to do list started. I am hoping to have productive early mornings and evenings so that I can spend a good bit of time outside if the weather is lovely. The boys have their first confirmation class this weekend, too. I felt the same way about the sunshine this week; we had several days in a row of no sun, and it was starting to affect me! I’m also looking forward to a great weekend with beautiful weather. I do love this time of year! Oh my goodness, what would we do without online ordering?! I don’t even want to think about it, honestly. I don’t love shopping in person anymore! Online ordering has become such a part of life, it is hard to not think of it as a necessity. I do go to stores, but I feel like most of what I order is online these days. Enjoy your weekend and hope you gret more sunshine!

I love online ordering but hate the returning part of it, it’s always such a chore.
I do my online grocery shop and get it delivered on a Thursday too. It does work well and I feel the same that it’s good to go into the weekend with full cupboards and a plan.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday this week too! I hope you have a great weekend. We might get some rain but it’s SO needed that I don’t even feel like I can complain about that even if it does.
My favorite thing about Amazon is just dropping a return at Staples without any repackaging. It’s so easy and I live in a more rural area so buy lots of clothes online, try on, and then return what I don’t like. Happy birthday to your hubs! Great family selfie!
