Amazon Favorites – 7/15/24

Happy Monday evening! I was planning to share this Tuesday for the first day of Prime Days, but I had some time this afternoon so it’s coming to you today. My plan for Prime Days is to restock things we use often, start doing some Christmas shopping, and maybe pick up a little treat for myself. Are you an Amazon Prime member? If you aren’t you can sign up here to enjoy the Prime Day prices.

My most used item from Amazon is my Kindle Paperwhite. We now have 3 Kindles in the house – mine, Luke’s, and Jeff’s. Luke has had a Kindle Paperwhite Kids for a two years. Jeff just got his for Father’s Day and has already read 3 books! I’ve had mine for six years and it is still going strong. I use it every single day!

We have a variety of Echo devices, too. We have an Echo Show, Echo dots, and a regular Echo. The Echo Show is in the kitchen and we use it for a timer, to play games, watch short news stories, and it acts like a digital fram when we aren’t using it. We have Echo dots all throughout the house to listen to music and communicate. The boys listen to them at night as they fall asleep – Luke prefers white noise and Jack listens to the Braves games. We have two regular Echos that we use just like the dots, but we had them before the Echo dots came out.

We use Fire sticks on most of our tvs to stream. The only one that doesn’t have a Fire stick is a Fire TV. It’s a great tv!

I also love the Ring cameras. We have a doorbell and a floodlight camera. The doorbell is great, but the floodlight camera is my favorite. When we built our addition, it cut off the view to the backyard from the front yard. Since we back up to a cornfield, I’d like to see what is going on in the back of the house. We mostly just see wildlife. The boys have been known to use it for an instant replay, too.

I also love a few Amazon Essentials clothing items. The tank tops (cotton and athletic), the short sleeve and long sleeve tees, the cardigans, the joggers, the puffer jackets (men and women), the sweaters (v-neck and cable knit), the snow pants, the rompers (shorts, tank and wide leg pants, tank and pants), and the leggings.

I have purchased a few clothing items from Amazon that are staples in my closet. These cropped tank tops are summer favorites!

Even though we use a Firestick at home, we have a Roku for traveling. Quite a few of the rentals or Airbnbs that we’ve stayed in only had the three main channels. The Roku has come in pretty handy to watch sports or movies when we are away.

Our cold plunge tub might be on sale this week if you are looking for one. I think it has a positive impact and want to get back to plunging consistently.

Moving on to some items that I got a great deal on during previous Prime Days. I got Apple Watches for the boys. I’ve purchased AirPods pro. I was anti-AirPods until I tried the pros and now I use them exclusively. The adjustable earpieces are perfect!

I got my nugget ice machine. I absolutely could not live without this thing! I use it multiple times a day! I just realized it is on sale and there is a $30 off coupon.

I ordered two Sonicare toothbrushes.

Jeff uses this every single time he has a headache. Luke has used it, too. It is on sale with a $10 coupon now!

Jen shared this phone charger. Jeff and Jack love them and they are on a great deal right now!

I have a few things that I am looking for this year. I’m looking at a new yoga mat, but I am not sure if I want a super cushy one or a regular one. Any thoughts? I’ll check the price on school shoes for Jack. Our big cooler is leaking, so I will probably look for one of them in the sales. With as hot as we’ve been this summer, I might order a rechargable fan. I started my Nutrafol subscription on Prime Day in October because it was a great deal, so Jeff may purchase some Nutrafol this time around, if you know what I mean.

I have to remind myself to calm down a bit this time of year. Wal-Mart, Target, Nordstrom, and Amazon do big sales and I start to feel like I am missing out of things. I am not. I’ve been pretty intentional during Prime Days last year, only buying things we really need, and plan to do the same this year. What deals are you looking for? What are your previous Prime Day wins? Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I’m hoping to score a good deal on some luggage; 2 of my guys need new/bigger suitcases for our upcoming trip. I was also waiting for today to buy most of Alec’s dorm essentials but when we looked yesterday everything was already 30-40% off so we ended up buying most if it yesterday!

So many great deals! I always try to stock up on items I use often and maybe buy something I’ve had my eye on. I try not to go too crazy 🙂 the phone charger is great.
