Friday Favorites – 7/12/24

Happy Friday! We have been at the beach this week and are having a great week! I have a few favorites for you, so let’s get to it!

Linking up with Erika and Andrea

Favorite 1: 7-11 DAY! Yesterday was July 11th or 7/11 and that means free slurpees for all! I forgot about it until we drove by a 7-11 store on the way to the beach. After we got set up, Jeff, my brother-in-law, the kids, and I headed to 7-11 to enjoy our slurpees. This is one of our summer traditions and I was so glad that Luke pointed out the 7-11 when we drove past!

Favorite 2: BEACH BOOKS! I have been reading a bunch this week. I finished Summer Romance and The Summer We Started O ver this week. I will probaby finish Happy Medium today on the beach. Reading on the beach is really my favorite place to enjoy a book!

Favorite 3: BEACH TIME! The boys have been in the water a ton this week. They’re playing and boogie boarding for hours. They dug holes and trenches. They played volleyball and paddleball. Everyone read on the beach at some point, too!

Favorite 4: GAMES! We played Kids Against Maturity and Cards Against Humanity family edition. Oh my goodness did we laugh playing those! We also played Racko, Uno, and War this week. Games and beach weeks go together in my mind!

Hello Monday
Let’s Look – Podcasts and Shows

We have one more day at the beach before heading home for a fun weekend at the pool. The kids have a swim meet and we have a casual party on Saturday. I am hoping to relax and catch up with pool friends on Sunday. I will need to get caught up with laundry and groceries at some point, but that can happen when the sun isn’t shining. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

That sounds like a wonderful week at the beach! I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a 7-11 anywhere…

I wish I’d remembered the 7-11 date. I never get slurpees anymore, but we did that often when I had kids living at home. I agree games and the beach go together! Have a nice weekend!
