Friday Favorites – 6/7/24

Happy Friday! This week has been a great mix of school and summer stuff. It has been BUSY, but so much fun! I have some favorites to share with you, so let’s get to it.

Linking up with Erika and Andrea

Favorite 1: POOL!! I didn’t make it to the pool every day this week, but I did get there a few times and it was wonderful! I saw my friends, swim team started, Jack guarded, and we all enjoyed the sunshine!

Favorite 2: MOVIE!! I very rarely watch a movie. I think the last one I watched was Barbie. We had a very rainy Wednesday afternoon and I have been thinking about an old favorite movie for weeks. Have you ever seen Back to the Beach? Did you love it? We LOVED it growing up and I still love it now! I rented it and have already watched/had it on twice in my 48 hours.

Favorite 3: ACTIVE DRESSES!! I know I talk about them all the time, but I really love them! This week I wore my pink dress to school and then stayed a little later to cut down some tall grasses in our school’s courtyard that have gotten out of control. It was HOT, but I got it done and could still run errands around town. I wore my blue dress with a super cute zip up from the Masters (thanks Annie!). I also wore my Lilly active dress one day and ran around after school getting lots done for the weekend and week ahead. I was so comfy!

Favorite 4: KIDS!! Jack had his last day of school and I am so proud of him! He had a great freshman year. He made a lot of great friends, did so well in school, had 3 great sports seasons, and managed his time in a way that really impressed me!

Jack has been relaxing on his first few days of summer, but he has also been tackling the lists I am leaving for him. It’s great to come home to a few extra chores done and a happy kid!

I found Luke snuggled in my bed one morning this week. It has been a long time since he last crawled in my bed while I was downstairs exercising. The past week or so has been a struggle to get to bed with all the summer fun around.

I took off Monday afternoon and was able to scoop Rita’s for Luke’s 7th grade play day. I haven’t volunteered much in middle school and this was so fun!

Favorite 5: BRACELETS! It is no secret that I love bracelets. I mixed some gold with colorful bracelets this week and loved the stack!

I also loved this set with my pink dress.

Favorite 6: KINDLE!! Jeff often reads at night and on vacation. When we went to Florida in February, he didn’t want to take the giant book he was reading and I got an idea. I decided that the kids and I were going to give him a kindle for Father’s Day. We are getting ready to do a little traveling this weekend so we gave it to him early. I think he is loving it. He also got a new library card to use Libby for books. I always love when more people use the library and read!

I am so excited to get my toes in the sand this weekend! Luke has a lacrosse tournament at the beach and his games are all early in the morning. Woohoo for beach time! I know that we’ll finish our audio book on our way to the beach and need to pick another one. Have a weekend full of sunshine and books!

I would love to have a pool like that nearby! I think I would spend most of my days there!
I have never seen Back to the Beach but it sounds like a great movie!
Well done to Jack! It sounds like he has had a great year!
I have been inspired by all the gorgeous bracelets that I have seen on Friday Favorite posts and I’ve ordered my self some in different colours and sets. They should be arriving soon.

I really need to give an active dress a try! It’s so hot and humid where I live it seems like a good option to have! And it’s so nice when you can come up with a great gift idea! I always use my library for Kindle books! If you are going to the beach I’m sure you will have a great weekend!

Congrats to Jack on a great freshman year. Luke in your bed. Haha so sweet! Trav and the kids got me a new kindle for Mother’s Day….its a little bigger and I love it. I just go back from kc, and I was the driver, so I decided to listen to my first even audiobooks to and from kc. It was a good use of my time 🙂
