Happy Wednesday! This is one of my favorite linkups of the month because I am so curious about how other people do things. I try to find great systems for organizing, planning, and creating routines but I know there is always room for improvement.

In January, we shared our closets. I was excited to see what people wrote because mine had just fallen down.

In February, we looked at little things we do every day.

I missed March and April, but I’m back in May! The topic is summer closet staples. I love summer clothes so I am excited for today’s topic.

My number one summer closet staple is a bathing suit! I love my bathing suits and wear one almost every day in the summer. I usually wear Title Nine bathing suits because they are cute, a little athletic, and cover my bottom.

Once I start thinking about clothes, my favorite and the first thing that comes to mind is Lilly. I wear as much Lilly as I can all year, but she really shines in summer!

I love a tennis type dress for the summer. I can wear them around town, on the golf course, and out for an impromptu walk or happy hour with a girlfriend. They are usually wicking and I can throw a cardigan or quarter zip on if I am chilly. I recently discovered Poshmark and plan on adding another Lilly tennis dress or two to my wardrobe.

Along with the tennis dress, I love a skort. I’ve had great luck with the DSG brand at Dicks Sporting Goods and Lilly. If I am running, I wear the Skirt Sports skorts. They went out of business so I’m taking really good care of the skirts I have.

I don’t wear shorts often. When I do, I like the DSG brand of running shorts and Lilly’s running shorts. I don’t actually run in them but I do powerwalk and run around town in them. I just realized I don’t have any pictures of them, either. Oops!

I live in my flip flops in the summer. Reef thin straps are my favorite. I also love the Vineyard Vine whale flip flops. I have been wearing the Canyon sandals for a few years and I love them for a non-flip flp sandal.

In the past five years or so, I’ve started wearing hats more. I love the Legacy old favorite trucker hat. They are a local business (less than an hour away) and a lot of restaurants and shops around us and at the beach sell them. When I was looking them up to link here, I was excited to find some on Amazon. Isn’t this one so cute?

I am never, ever, ever without my sunglasses in the summer. I mostly wear Goodrs because they are so comfy and not too expensive. My favorites are the originals, the aviators (Mach G), and the cat eyes (Breakfast Run to Tiffany’s).

I have one more summer staple for you. It isn’t from my closet, but I always have it. A BOOK! In the summer, my books are usually on my kindle so I can always start a new book when I finish one. My kindle case has a little hand strap, so techically I am wearing it when I read so I’m keeping in the list. I can’t find my exact pattern, but it’s like this one.
