Happy Friday! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! I hope the luck of the Irish is with you today!! This has been a busy week, but we made it to Friday! I have a bunch of favorites for you today. How lucky!☘️
Favorite 1: SUNSHINE!! Monday and Tuesday were ROUGH with gray and rainy days. Wednesday the sun came back out and Thursday morning started with this beautiful sunrise!
Favorite 2: JACK!! Jack got a Herbst appliance last week and is finally feeling better. The actual appliance in his mouth isn’t uncomfortable, but it’s big and rubs his mouth in a very uncomfortable way! After many smoothies, yogurt, and eggs, he’s smiling again!
Favorite 3: LUKE!! Luke had the best time at Outdoor School, but it has been nice to have him home this week. He’s back to two soccer practices a week and I am enjoying our drive together. We usually listen to a book on our drives. We’re listening to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire now.
Favorite 4: BOOKS!! Our local library and bookstore hosted Ira Marcks at my school on Monday night. It was a loooong day, but totally worth it. I love talking books with the folks from the library and the bookstore while we’re getting everything set up. Ira Marcks was so funny! His books are great graphic novels and the kids at my school are loving them!
Favorite 5: RUNNING!! In my March goals I said I was going to start running and I have! I am doing the Peloton walk+run classes to start and my feet felt great! It’s nice to have some sunshine in the evenings to run in.
Favorite 6: SAINT PATRICK’S DAY!! I have a few St. Patrick’s Day flashbacks for you. Jeff and I went to Ireland in 2003 with my parents and sister. I love this picture of us from the Cliffs of Moher. I added the shamrocks after.
This sweet collage of the boys on Saint Patrick’s Days makes me smile!
This is an old family favorite! Family legend says that my grandparents used to throw a fun Saint Patrick’s Day party. This was the back of the invitation. I love it and am so glad to have a picture of it!
I am working a post about Outdoor School next week. Do you have any questions that you want me to answer? Please put them in the comments and I’ll add them to the post. This is a busy sports weekend for the boys – swim meets, soccer games, and lacrosse games. Perhaps some golf in there too. I’m hoping to read a bunch and work ahead on a few blog posts. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!
