Hello Monday – 3/13/23

Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

We had a great weekend and it started with picking Luke up from a week of outdoor school. Oh, I was so happy to have him home and he was so unbelievably tired!

There’s a smile and some very tired eyes!

The weather was terrible – cold, rainy, foggy – so we all snuggled in and went to bed early!

I planned to document my day Saturday for the Not Just a Mom link up – A Day In the Life: Weekend Edition – but I forgot to take many pictures. So I planned to do it on Sunday and forgot to take many pictures then too. Here’s a recap with what I have.

I didn’t set an alarm either morning, which rarely happens. It felt great to wake up and read a bit. Then Jeff and I made the bed, like we do every single morning!

After I get downstairs, the first thing I do on a weekend morning is make a list. I always enjoy a diet soda and figure out what needs to be done that day or weekend.

Then I get to the list. On Saturday, I cleaned out our pantry and fridge, finished the last of Luke’s laundry, did some membership work for our pool, did some online ordering (Built bars, sneakers, cleats), and helped Jack register for his classes next year.

Next, Luke and I headed over to my friend Jodi’s house to share some outdoor school supplies and visit for a bit.

We came home and I went for a walk before running a few errands and picking Jack up from swim team practice.

Then we grabbed Jeff and Luke and headed to Luke’s soccer game.

We picked up pizza, soup, and salad for dinner. Then it was showers and bed. We all headed to bed around 8:30 to get ready for the clock changing and recharge for a busy week ahead. I read for a little over an hour in bed to fall asleep around 10.

Sunday was much of the same – wake-up, read, list, do things.

On Sunday, I felt behind all day because we lost that hour. Once I made a yummy breakfast and enjoyed my Diet Pepsi while making a list, I headed out. I found Plant City strawberries at Aldi (woohoo!!) and picked up a few more things. Then I came home and watched some of CBS Sunday Morning. I love to sit and watch that show!

Jack and Luke set up their pingpong net on the dining room table and played for a while!

I celebrated International Fanny Pack Day.

Then Jeff and I went for a nice long walk. We talked about the week ahead, the kids’ birthdays, spring plans, and a bunch else.

I made our meal plan and updated the fridge calendar. This week is going to be a doozy!

Jack and I had a calendar meeting for upcoming swim meets, took all the candles out of our windows, and signed up for our CSA.

Then it was off to another soccer game for Luke. Jack stayed home because it was rain/snow/sleeting and he wanted to watch the Players and basketball. Luke played really well, the team played really well, and they won!

We headed home for a delicious dinner of soup, sandwiches, and salads. It was Selection Sunday so dinner was pushed until after 630, after the brackets were announced.

I made lunches for tomorrow and did some pool membership work while the boys showered.

We watched the opening monologue of the Oscars and headed to bed. I almost always paint my nails in bed on Sunday evening, finish up my Hello Monday post while they dry, and read myself to sleep by 10. That’s exactly how I ended my Sunday.

I love Olive & June polishes! This week I used ridge filler, World Lit, and the Super Glossy topcoat.

I hope you had the best weekend! I hope I wake up well rested and ready for this week we are about to have! I’ll be back tomorrow with what I’ve been reading and I’m not sure what else I’ll post this week. Be sure to check back to see. I can’t wait to see the weekend day in a life posts, they’re some of my favorites because I am curious about other people’s days. If you blogged, be sure to link up with Holly and me below! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I love a weekend list, too. I push anything over to Sunday that I didn’t get done Saturday, but I do try to make Saturday more about the list. Your soup and sandwich night looks so good! I hope you make it through the week!

I’d love to hear more about outdoor school? Have you done a post on it? I bet the kids love it and it’s so good for them!

I used to make daily lists every day and have gotten out of the habit unless my to do list starts to get real long. It sounds like you had a good mix of fun and being productive as well a little bit of pampering too.

Thanks for linking up with us. I have a hard time remembering to take pics too! Luke did look so tired but that sounds like such an amazing experience. I love your soccer earrings and Fanny pack. So fun. I hope you all have a great week. It’s cold here!

Snuggling up at home sounds fantastic while the weather outside it bad.
You are very organised with your lists.
I think our clocks change in a couple of weeks. I am not looking forward to losing an hour but I do enjoy the lighter evenings.
