Hello Monday – 11/7/22

Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

The weather this weekend was A-MAZ-ING!! We were all outside as much as possible! On Friday, both boys had swim team practice. Luke wanted to go to the high school football game after practice. Jack’s practice is later so he opted out for the game.

We woke up Saturday morning to bright sunshine and warm weather. I opened all the windows welcomed in that warm air. Luke was guest playing for another soccer team and was so excited to play against some of his buddies from last year.

Jack and Jeff had a tee time and soaked up the sunshine on the golf course.

While Luke was at a friend’s house, I took a nice long walk. It was so lovely to walk in November in shorts and a tank top!

When I was almost home, I noticed a bunch of smoke/dust/fog in front of our house and ran the rest of the way home to see what was happening. We’ll, they were plowing the field behind our house and there was dust EVERYWHERE!! Remember how I said I opened all the windows?? What a dusty mess!! So I spent the rest of the evening dusting and dusted again Sunday morning to get it all up.

Sunday was a little cloudier and cooler but still warmer. Luke had his last soccer game of the season. He played well and we are so proud of him on this new team!

We were home for the rest of the afternoon. Jack had a Day of the Dead project for Spanish class and he opted to make bread. I was his sues chef and it turned out pretty good!

I am hoping that the time change makes it a little easier to get up this week for my morning workouts. I read something recently about using the time change to your advantage. If you are someone that wants to add something to or change up your morning routine, this is the week to do it. With the time moving backwards you could “trick” your body into getting up an hour or 30 minutes earlier with little effort. I love working out in the morning. If you are looking to try it, this is a great time to do it.

I know it’s standard time now, but the sentiment remains…

I am pretty grateful for big kids this week. When the boys were little, the time change was so painful! We have off on Tuesday for Election Day, so that may help us ease into the new time, too.

I spent some time getting ready for the next few weeks because I just know they are going to fly! If you are blogging today, don’t forget to link up below! I’ll be back tomorrow with a reading update, so be sure to check back. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Our weather Friday and yesterday was the same! Saturday it was super windy and threatening to rain all day. I am like you and I soak up the good weather when I can! Tell Luke this Spanish teacher approves of his pan de los muertos! I am such a baby about the time change! I was ready for bed at 7 last night!

I’m sorry about all the dust. And I laughed at that meme about last Monday versus this Monday, especially since last Monday was Hallowe’en! Hahaha!!! Thank goodness for older kids who are less complicated, shall we say, when it comes to the time changes.

We had warm weather too. November weather is so unpredictable. Yikes about the dust! The bread looks so good. That’s a fun project. I hope you have a great Monday.

Oh no! So sorry about the dust storm in your house. It was such a warm weekend though. I have been wishing I hadn’t packed away all my spring/summer clothes!
