Hello Monday – 9/19/22

Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

We had a great Friday at school! We welcomed Dan Gemeinhart. He is on tour for his newest book, The Midnight Children, and we were so lucky to have him. The Midnight Children is such a great book! I stayed up way later than I should have on Thursday night just to finish it before meeting Dan.

Dan Gemeinhart was an elementary school teacher and librarian before he became a full time author, and you can tell. His presentation was so engaging and his message was perfect for our students!

The boys went to swim practice and I got some good one on one time with each one. It was early to bed for us after our first five day week.

I woke up Saturday and hit the ground running. My to do list was long and I was determined to complete it. I made three trips to Home Depot. I wanted to clean out one bin in my garage and it was like “If you give a mouse a cookie…” I ended up cleaning out half of our garage filling the trash can and a big bag of donations. I did not sit down until the sun was setting. When I did sit down, I enjoyed a Truly punch and a magazine. Remember, September is still summer so we should still be enjoying summer things!

On Sunday, I took Luke to his soccer game and we ran some errands on our way home. Jeff and Jack were at Jack’s golf tournament when we got home. I got right back to my list and ended up checking off every single thing!

Luke and I needed to go check on the pool after all the rain we had earlier this week. We decided to take a quick little last dip while we were there.

We have a regular five day week ahead of us. I am looking forward to settling into our routine. I hope you had a great weekend and have a great day full of sunshine and books!
