Hello Tuesday – 7/5/22

Happy Tuesday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday! We had a supersized weekend, starting Thursday and going straight through to Monday! Jeff’s still off today so we might keep weekending!

My sister Anne, her husband Zach, and their daughter Maggie came to town for my mom’s birthday on Thursday. We called it her platinum jubilee all weekend! Jack had basketball camp on Thursday and Friday, but Luke and I headed up to my parents’ house after swim team. It was so good to see them! We haven’t seen them since Christmas. Luke taught me a new card game – trash – and I taught him a new card game – spit. Annie and mom got in on the action, too.

Jeff and Jack joined us for dinner. We had my mom’s favorite summer dinner – crabs and wine on the back deck. Maggie got to try crab for the first time and she loved it!

On Friday, we tried to meet everyone at the pool, but it thundered as soon as we got there. So we headed back to my parents’ house and played some cards before heading home.

We went out to dinner at Antrim, an old mansion turned restaurant, hotel, and event venue. It was DELICIOUS!! We had a great adults only dinner!

I love a giggling picture!

On Saturday morning, the boys had a swim meet and they did a great job! I took a nap when we got home while the guys watched The Bad Guys. The five minutes I saw looked so good and they agreed!

We headed back up to my parents’ house for dinner and some splashing in a baby pool on the deck. I didn’t wear a suit, but I should have.

On Sunday morning, we headed back to my parents’ house for a family photo shoot. Our neighbor and babysitter is the sweetest person and a great photographer. Sarah always gets the best smiles from my guys and I can’t wait to see the pictures.

Sarah has taken our Christmas card pictures the past two years and I love them!

Jeff and I headed home but the boys wanted to stay with my parents for the afternoon. They watched The Nut Job and rested a bit. Jeff and I were planning on going to the pool but it was overcast. I decided to get some hydrangeas I’ve been meaning to pick up and did some curriculum work. Jeff planted the hydrangeas right away. I can’t decide if I want to add two more, but I think I’m going to wait until next spring to see how everything fills in.

We went back to my parents’ for dinner and went out to get ice cream. Hoffman’s Ice Cream is the gold standard around here. I remember my boys’ first trip to Hoffman’s and we took Maggie for her first trip. She loved it! Smart girl!

Annie and I were sporting our matching outfit of the weekend. 😍

Luke loves riding in my dad’s convertible. He built this plane and the propellers really spun in the wind!

On Monday morning, Jeff played golf with some friends but the boys and I went back to my parents’ house for breakfast. It was delicious and the weather was perfect! We got to eat a bunch of our meals outside and it was so lovely!

We spent the afternoon at the pool and came home for an all-American cookout.

We saw a bunch of fireworks around our neighborhood and hung out with some neighbors.

I wore some fun summer outfits this weekend! Skirts and shorts are a good choice for me because I can sit on the floor anytime!

This was one busy, but oh so fun weekend!! I hope you had a great weekend, too! We have a pretty normal week planned with Jack at the golf course a bit, swim team, and some pool time. Hopefully, I’ll get a bunch of reading time in! Have a great week full of sunshine and books!
