Happy Wednesday Thursday! It’s the last Wednesday Thursday of the month so I am to share what we’ve been up to. Before we get to it, I want to talk about the latest school shooting. I remember being in my first grade classroom when Sandy Hook happened and thinking how could this happen in an elementary school. Now all this time later, I am so sad for those families and appalled that we as a country are not willing to take measures to keep children, all people really, safe. My heart goes out to the families in Uvalde. We must do better!!

WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK…

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT…

Kindergarten and first days of school! Luke is almost finished elementary school and I have been lucky enough to teach at his school the whole time! Next year will be the first time in 13 years I don’t take anyone to school. I can’t believe it!

WHAT I’M LOVING…

The hot weather this weekend! I feel like summer is so close I can almost taste it. We have a few weeks of school left, but the sunshine and warm weather is making our afternoons and evenings so good!

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO…

Well this week has been a little different than planned. Jack tested positive on Sunday night. He hasn’t felt so great but is coming around the bend. Jeff and I have been alternating staying home with him this week. So far, he’s the only positive in the house. Our fingers are crossed that it stays that way! Quarantine means a lot of Battleship, Guess Who, walks, and laundry! That’s what we’ve been doing this week.

We’ve been on the sidelines and golf carts a bunch this month. Between Jack’s golf tournaments and Luke’s soccer and lacrosse games, Jeff and I are cheering our kids on big time! We’ve had some grandparent cheerleaders too!

WHAT I’M DREADING…

I’m holding strong to dreading nothing. I am worrying a little about positive tests, but I’m trying not to dread those 15 minute timers.

WHAT I’M WORKING ON…

Right now, I am working on getting to June 13th with everyone fed, where they need to be, wearing the right outfit, and on time. I am working on survival mode friends. I know we’ll make it, but that’s what I am working on. Remember this girl from my April goals, sadly I’ve become her…

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT…

SUMMER!! Let me say it again for anyone who missed it. SUMMER!! I love summer so much and we are so close. Our last day of school is June 13th and I am counting down the days. After today we have 11 days left!

WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING…

I am watching The Morning Show on Apple TV. I am only on episode 5. I have a little feedback for Apple TV. It doesn’t save your spot if you pause your show in the middle of an episode. Come on Apple! Time to add that feature! I am really enjoying the show!

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO…

I’ve been listening to 99 Glimpses of Princess Margaret. I am almost 80% through and have just under 3 hours left. I listen at 1.3x speed so it won’t take quite that long.

WHAT I’M WEARING…

I have been wearing pretty much everything in my closet. The weather has gone from winter coat cold to tank top hot all month. I’ve worn shorts with long sleeves, pants with quarter zips, a sleeveless jumpsuit, dresses, jeans, and sweatshirts. This weather is all over the place!

WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND…

Luke has a soccer tournament and I am hoping to spend some time at the pool.

Jack is hoping to spend some time at the golf course after being home for a few days.

WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH…

I have one summer reading rule – I do not read the Summer Beach Books until school is out. I am so excited to read those books poolside, with my toes in the sand, mid morning, late afternoon, really any time I want!

I am going to the beach with my mom next month. I love our trips together.

Summer swim team is back to normal this year and I can’t wait for practices and meets that start in June!

My mom has a big birthday next month and my sister is coming home with her family for it! I can’t wait to see them in real life, even though I love our FaceTimes.

RECENT AMAZON PURCHASE…

I just bought our summer work books. Jack has aged out of the Summer Brain Quest books, but Luke has one more year. I love them!

I have had this skort in neon green for years and I got the pink one recently. I love it for school because it’s long enough, comfy, and has shorts attached so everything is covered.
