Friday Favorites – 10/29/21

Happy Friday! This week has gone so fast! In fact it went so fast that Thursday night got away from me. So I have a late night Friday edition of my favorites to share with you!

Linking up with Erika and Andrea

Favorite 1: HOMECOMING! Our local high school played their across town rival in the homecoming game this week. They moved the game and parade to Thursday because of a very rainy forecast. Instead of throwing candy at the parade, the high school did a trunk or treat with the floats in the parking lot. It was so fun!

Jack and his buddies went to the football game. His group was pretty big and they were having the best time.

Favorite 2: WEDDINGS & COLLEGE!! I got to see some of my college friends last weekend at a wedding. It was so so great to see them. We always pick up right where we left off! I love these girls!! This time together has us planning another weekend to get together soon!

My wedding date is pretty spectacular too! 😍

Favorite 3: BOOKS! We found a great indie bookstore in Richmond! Fountain Bookstore was a great find and I enjoyed talking to the booksellers!

I finished my book, Waiting for the Night Song, this afternoon. It was recommended by my friend Jamie and was written by her friend’s sister. The book involves ecology some suspense and a picturesque New Hampshire landscape.

Favorite 4: JEWELRY! This is my last week for Halloween jewelry so I’m making the most of it!! I’ll keep wearing my pumpkin earrings and necklace in November with my turkeys, but this is it for the jack-o-lanterns, cats, and skeletons.

Here my earrings are no longer correct because there are no children left to smell. They all headed home for the weekend and some fun trick or treating!

Favorite 5: FIFTH GRADE!! Luke is in fifth grade this year and they got their fifth grade shirts this week. In past years, the kids don’t get the 5th grade shirts until the end of May. This year they are trying something different and gave them out in October. They’re going to have 5th grade spirit days throughout the year and I think it’s great. Jack didn’t wear his much once he started middle school so Luke will get a lot more wear out of his.
One of our fifth grade teachers is coaching a First Lego League team and Luke was invited to be on the team. It is right up his alley! He’s loving it so much! His team has been working hard to build everything on the board.

Favorite 6: PEDICURE!! I have been trying to get a pedicure for two weeks but it hasn’t worked out. I finally got there this afternoon and it was amazing! My feet and legs felt so good afterwards. I love soaking my feet in the warm water with the jets while sitting in the massage chair. I may ask if it’s possible to have some extra soaking time before my next pedicure.

Hello Monday
Tuesday Book Release Day
What’s Up Wednesday
Monthly Musings

We don’t have much to do this weekend and I am ready for it. Luke has a soccer game and we have a 40th birthday party. We’re going to carve pumpkins and go trick or treating on Sunday. I’m hoping to take advantage of all the time at home and get a TON checked off my weekly and seasonal to do list. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

I had that same problem Thursday and Friday; both my posts were a little late getting published because my week just got away from me. That book sounds great.
