Happy Monday! I can’t believe we are already in the last week of October! This month feels like it flew and was forever long at the same time.

We had the best weekend! Jeff and I went to Richmond on Friday afternoon for one of my college roommate’s wedding. I love weddings and a wedding where I can see friends that I haven’t seen in a while is even better! My freshman year of college I made friends with six girls that lived on my hall and we all lived together for the next three years. The seven of us had so much fun and made the best memories at JMU 💜💛💜!! This weekend our Valerie got married to a wonderful man and it was a beautiful weekend!!
On Friday, we got together downtown before the rehearsal dinner. Richmond is a cool walkable city! My college roommates Amy and Cassidy both grew up in Richmond so we spent some time visiting landmarks and walking around. The rehearsal dinner was in a really neat old house. Valerie looked beautiful and it was so great to see her!! 😍

On Saturday, we walked to Belle Isle and walked some of the paths. It was a GORGEOUS day and we took advantage of it. Cassidy brought her dogs and they had a great time in the water!

I found a really cute independent bookstore down the street from our hotel. Fountain Bookstore had a great selection and I had the best conversations with their booksellers. If you are ever in Richmond, be sure to visit Fountain Bookstore on Cary Street.

The wedding was beautiful and we had so much fun! We all danced until our feet hurt.

On Sunday, Jeff and I were up early and headed home. He went to work and I got ready for the week.
Thank goodness for my parents! They stayed here with the boys all weekend. The kids had the best weekend, too! They drove go karts on Saturday and went to their first diner for lunch. My mom made Mrs. Geiss’ dish for dinner. They boys LOVE that!!

My dad took Luke to his very early soccer game about an hour away. After that, he took Jack to his golf match about an hour in the other direction. They were both so happy to have Pop cheering them on. The boys enjoyed their solo time with my mom, too. Jack and Gigi had a yummy breakfast together and Luke and Gigi worked on a puzzle. Thanks Mom and Dad!!
It was a great weekend all around!! We have a pretty normal week coming up and I think I am ready for it. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

You looked beautiful in all of your Lilly Sarah! I think that is so wonderful that you have kept in touch with your college besties- so special and I am sure your friend was so happy that you were all there-the city sounds amazing! Your boys looked like they had a blast too- how fun!
That sounds like such a wonderful weekend for the whole family! My husband and I haven’t been to a wedding in forever. The boys looked like they were having a great time with their grandparents. Mine stayed home alone by themselves for the first time (for an overnight anyway) when we went away last weekend and it was such a weird feeling knowing they didn’t have grandparents with them looking over their shoulders! Though my mother in law is literally 2 houses away they still loved being on their “own.”
What a fun weekend. I love that you found a bookstore! You all look great. I met three friends on my floor of my door and we are still great friends too. (One of them is who visited me a couple weekends ago) I hope you have a great week
