Happy Friday! We are getting into a routine and it’s going pretty well. On Monday morning, one of my colleagues shared that this was our first five day week in a school building since the week of March 9, 2020. That is 18 months my friends! Whoa!! It’s been a busy week, full of favorites.

Favorite 1: CORA’S DEN!! While I was doing bus duty this week, a sweet kindergartener asked me if I would wear a big bead necklace every time I taught her because she loved them. I try to do as much as I can for my students and this is one I can definitely do!! I think I’ll need to add another necklace or two to my collection soon! Favorite 2: BLACK DRESS!! I found this dress and purchased it on a whim. It is supposed to be cooling. I found it to be very comfortable and flattering. It’s a from the Columbia PFG line so I could go fishing or teach a class. Amazon is showing a price about $15 more than I paid. Keep an eye on it because the price may drop.

Favorite 3: SUNSHINE!! The sun has been so bright as it rises and sets this week. I love to see that bright, glowing ball changing the color of the sky.

Favorite 4: GOLF!! I got to with Jack to junior golf this week. Luke’s soccer practice was cancelled so he came with us. Jack was pretty excited about his pairing this week because he was playing with two of his buddies. After four days of work, I did not turn down a happy hour drink when another parent on the course suggested it. It started pouring and those boys played on for another few holes. Jack was rewarded with an eagle on the 6th hole!

Favorite 5: AUDIOBOOKS!! I don’t listen to audiobooks very often, but Luke does. He loves to listen to books. He started Evil Spy School by Stuart Gibbs this week. He even took it to the golf course with us. I just started listening to Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey. I love that he narrates his own book.

Favorite 6: JMU!! Jack and I spent Saturday at JMU with my cousins and one of my college roommates. It was so much fun to be back on campus and remember all those fun memories we had.

Not Just a Mom: Morning Routine

We don’t have much to do during the day on Saturday. Jeff and I are going to Hall and Oates with some friends on Saturday night and I am excited! Luke has a soccer game and Jack has a golf tournament on Sunday. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
