Happy Tuesday! I am excited to be here sharing two new books with you! The first is by one of my favorite podcasters and the second is by an author who’s book I have had on my TBR for quite a while.

We had a great weekend! On Friday night, I got to watch Jack play basketball in person for the first time since last March.

I was still wearing my big bead necklace for my sweet kindergartener when I finally sat down at 10 pm! I was one tired girl. There really is no tired like beginning of the year teacher tired!

I thought our Saturday would be pretty relaxing, but it wasn’t. Between errands, getting stuff done around the house, swim team practice, a pool board meeting, and going out Saturday night, I didn’t sit down for one minute. The kids just played all day. It was great. They played with each other and with the neighbors. They played inside and outside. We had a ping pong competition and I won!

We went out to dinner and to see Hall and Oates with friends. It has been so long since the ten of us hung out together and it was so much fun!!

That late night made for a tired Sunday, but it was totally worth it! We watched Luke play soccer and then Jeff took Jack for his golf match. I was one proud mama all day!

I knew I needed something comfortable to wear to work on Monday. Jen shared this cute dress from Walmart. It was only $9. Hop to the website and get one! You will not be sad! It goes perfectly with a big bead necklace. 😉

On Monday night, Luke had basketball practice right before Jack. Jeff is the head coach of Jack’s team and helps with Luke’s team when he can. It was fun to watch all three of them on the gym floor at the same time.

Under the Whispering Door by TJ Klune

Welcome to Charon’s Crossing.
The tea is hot, the scones are fresh, and the dead are just passing through.
When a reaper comes to collect Wallace from his own funeral, Wallace begins to suspect he might be dead.
And when Hugo, the owner of a peculiar tea shop, promises to help him cross over, Wallace decides he’s definitely dead.
But even in death he’s not ready to abandon the life he barely lived, so when Wallace is given one week to cross over, he sets about living a lifetime in seven days.
