Can you believe it is the first day of June?!? I am so excited that June is here because it means summer is just about here. We’ve had a little taste of early summer with beautiful weather and extra outside time with out work/learn from home schedule and it feels so good! The boys only have 8 days of school left.

Before I start on my June goals, let’s check in on my May goals. I did pretty well!

☀️ Complete the Core Challenge on Peloton. Sort of – I didn’t finish it, but I am still working on it. I have a few more workouts left.
☀️ Start running 2 times a week. Yes! I am running three times a week on my couch to 10k program
☀️ Read 5 books. It is Summer Beach Read season and I have so many books to read. Yes! In fact, I read 10 books this month!
☀️ Start wearing earrings and/or a necklace every day. Yes! I got the cutest sunshine necklace and I’ve been wearing my earrings every day.
☀️ No shopping for fun stuff until Memorial Day because I am not going anywhere and there are plenty of comfy, cute clothes and shoes in my closet and dresser. Yes! I only bought 2 things – that great nail polish and a shirt I’ve had my eye on for weeks but wasn’t available in my size until mid May.
☀️(Repeat from last month)Look for the sunshine. By that I mean keep finding the positives that are happening all around me, even in the midst of this scary pandemic. Yes! Even though there have been some low days in May, I think I have been pretty positive keep looking for that sunshine!
Here are my June goals:

☀️ Keep my couch to 10k program by running every other day.
Strategies: plan out running on my calendar, continue accountability with my friend Jamie who is also doing it, try varying my routes so I don’t get bored
☀️ Read 8 books. June is the true beginning of Summer Reading season for me and I can’t wait!
Strategies: keep my kindle with me all the time, keep reading when I wake up in the middle of the night, read for 20 minutes when I wake up, family reading time in the afternoon/evening
☀️ Find new places to play outside. We love the pool and playing in our yard but this summer is going to be a little different. We have been playing outside A TON and we aren’t going to be able to play at the pool all day long.
Strategies: visit our local parks, explore the waterways, day trips
☀️ Do Peloton Total Strength program. I’ve noticed that since I stopped running every day and I’m not taking body pump/strength classes, I am losing some muscle tone.
Strategies: do it in the morning, schedule my workouts, include the boys in my workouts, do the workouts outside
☀️ Work ahead on at least 4 blog posts.
Strategies: do the Tuesday Book Release posts for June next weekend, start my Show Us Your Books soon
☀️ Drink at least 75 ounces of water a day. I have really been struggling to drink enough water at home lately and I can tell.
Strategies: use my hourly marked cup, set an timer for 30 minutes as a reminder to drink water throughout the day
☀️ Order my new planners for school and home. I am hopeful that I will have things to write in this planner soon and I can’t wait to try the new format!!
Strategies: pick Erin Condren Daily Duo and teacher planner covers and order (I know this sounds a little silly, but it takes me a long time to pick my covers.)
These are my goals for the month. I am excited to get started on all of these things! If I can achieve them, when I revisit at the beginning of July, I will be healthier, more organized, and well read. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Linking up with the Hello Monday girls

WOW! Couch to 10K! Good for you!
Let’s all hope we have things to add to our calendars soon! Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya – The Other Side of the Road
Please share your tips on how you manage to read so many books a month! My goal is to read one a month, lol.
I used to have my blog posts ready a week in advance and I don’t know what happened but I turned the calendar this weekend and realized I only had one post ahead! Now I’m scrambling to play catch up.
Always so inspiring!
Thanks girl!
