Happy March!! I got home after on Sunday from a super fun weekend in Hilton Head, SC, so I am just sharing one part of our weekend today.

Sunday was a day focused on the sun from sun up to sun down! I signed up to run the WMNRUN beach run with Another Mother Runner and I am so glad I did. I was up with the sun to make it to the starting line on time.

The run was so much fun! Hilton Head’s beaches are just about the only beaches I like to run on. They are super flat, the sand is hard, and the view is always lovely. The starting/finish line was on the soft sand so that was a little tricky but that sunshine made up for it!

I chose to run the 5K and it was an out and back course which was totally fine with me because we ran by the ocean the whole time.

I also encountered my favorite race obstacle on Sunday morning – a tidal pool!! After we had to run around/leap over the water to the tidal pool, I had the Jimmy Buffet line stuck in my head “I’m a tidal pool explorer” from Coastal Confessions.

I finished the run and collected my giant medal! This was my 2nd yellow flower’s inaugural run and it was great. I was out there for the joy of running!

After the run, I headed back to our hotel. My mom, sister, and I got ourselves packed up and headed to Sunrise for breakfast. It is our favorite breakfast spot in Hilton Head.

Annie hit the road after breakfast, but mom and I had a few hours until we had to be at the airport. The sun was shining and the day was warming up so we decided that the best place to be was poolside! We relaxed and talked right here. 😍

Our flight connected through Charlotte. We had to hustle to make our connection and we were rewarded with complimentary wine on our second flight!

The sun was setting in a most beautiful way as we landed in Baltimore. From sun up to sun down this was a great day with my mom and Annie!!
