Tuesday Talk – 1/21/20

Happy Tuesday! We are back to our routine today after a day off yesterday with a soccer tournament for Luke. I am linking up with Erika for Tuesday Talk.

Today I am talking about new to me products to see if you have any input or suggestions about using them.

I have been seeing the Isle of Paradise self tanning drops all over the internet for a while. I saw them on QVC at a pretty good price so I gave them a try. I’ve used them one time and I am not sure I saw much of a change. I only used 3 drops in my lotion, so I think I’ll try 4 drops next time. I’ve always used Jergens or Rodan & Fields self tanners. I like how those two work but I was looking for something that falls in between. I have to use the Jergens for a week before seeing any “glow”. The Rodan & Fields works overnight but the “glow” is more noticeable. I’m looking for an overnight “glow” or tan that makes me look a little brighter throughout the winter.

I’m trying a new juice cleanse today. It is a 3 day cleanse, so wish me luck! I like to do a juice cleanse because I feel like it resets my belly and kicks my sugar craving. I have a pretty big sweet tooth and I struggle to resist it. In the past, I have lost a few pounds on this juice cleanse but not a noticeable amount. The thing I notice the most is the change in foods I want to eat. That’s what I am looking for again this time. I’ve done this Lemonkind Juice Cleanse.

I’m trying this cleanse today because it has some protein. There are less juices per day but about the same number of calories. I’ll let you know how it goes on Friday.

We hooked up our Echo Show 8 this weekend. I have added our photos and connected it to our other Alexa devices and the doorbell camera. I know that it can play music and I can watch Amazon Prime shows on it. What else should I be doing with it? I can’t wait to do some more with the Echo Show.

Our gym is doing a group fitness class challenge. In order to complete the challenge, you have to take 4 classes in each of the three studios. I am going to struggle with the cycle studio. I DO NOT like spin classes. I’ve taken one and I didn’t like it. I am looking forward to the classes in the yoga/Pilates type studio. I’ve taken two classes in there – Pilates and CX Worx. I haven’t taken any in the typical aerobics studio but I don’t think that will be a problem. I generally like those classes – Body Pump and Body Attack. I love a challenge so I’m going to try it and hopefully complete it. Any tips for enjoying/surviving a cycle class? (Photo from Oprah.com)

I can’t wait to hear what you think about these 4 new to me things. I will be sure to share my thoughts on the juice cleanse when I finish. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I have seen those tanning drops too but I am on the fence- now after your review I will probably hold off. I have been enjoying a tanning spray I got on Amazon- in fact I have bought it three times- the glow happens within a few hours and I feel like it covers my pastiness and gives me a little tan- I really like it- it’s called Body Drench Quick Tan Body Spray
