I made it to Friday, barely. We started school this week and it kicked my booty!
This week we had baseball practice, 2 soccer practices, swim team practice, and back to school night on top of our regular school days! I am so happy to say that after Day 1 on Tuesday we were feeling like this:

Favorite 1: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!! I love the first day of school so much! It is a day full of hope and promise for a wonderful new year!! We always start with front porch pictures and we usually have a grandparent or two stop by to join in the fun!

Favorite 2: THE GREAT ALONE!! I stayed up late on Monday night to read this book and it was so worth it. I am still thinking about it. Kristen Hannah’s writing style makes you feel like you are in Alaska with Leni and her parents. I just cannot say enough about this book!! I was crying and gasping and crying again. The ending was a total surprise to me. Now, it is a heavy book with some upsetting parts, but when you are in a state to commit to a book, pick this one immediately!!!
Favorite 3: BOOKSTORES!! Luke had a soccer tournament last weekend and it was HOT!! We went to our favorite hangouts in between games – Barnes and Noble. It is a perfect spot for us. There is always something to do – read, play games, etc, it is warm inside when the weather is cold and cool inside when the weather is hot. We spent some time there on Saturday and Sunday.
Favorite 4: STELLA & DOT!! I ordered my hostess rewards and I am loving all of my new goodies! I got a bunch a bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and two new bags! I was even able to save some rewards for the next line of releases! I had a great time at the party hanging out with my girlfriends and then I got to go shopping! A total favorite!!
That’s all I have for you this week! Luke has his first travel soccer game this weekend and I am pretty excited about that! We have another three day weekend (woohoo!!) and I am planning on getting back to more regular posts!

I LOVED the Great Alone; I’m reading Home Front by her right now and can NOT put it down. My boys and I just took a trip to Barnes and Noble yesterday to load up on some more reading material. It’s a bit dangerous to let us loose in there!
