Friday Favorites 1/19/18

Happy Friday! It was a super short work week over here (Mexico trip + snow day = 2 day work week), but it did not seem super short.

1 – Spending time with Jeff. We had a lot of grown ups only time this weekend and it was so good for us! We even ran together one day!

Love a long sleeve coverup for time in the resort

2 – SNOW DAYS!! We had a snow day Wednesday and it was perfect timing. After being away for 5 days, staying home and snuggling with Jack and Luke was such a gift.

3 – Adult friends. We traveled with friends last weekend and I am heading away with some girlfriends tonight. As much as I love being a mom and spending most of my time with my people, aka the kids, sometimes mama needs to be with adults. The timing of this weekend isn’t ideal, but I wouldn’t miss it!

4 – The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah was a big favorite of the week. That is one heavy book, but it is so worth it. I gasped, cried, and was surprised throughout the book. If you are looking for a book, try this one!

That’s it for this week. I’m looking forward to a full week of school, getting back to some semblance of a routine next week, and hopefully some warmer weather in Maryland!

I think I’m going to add a new ending to my blog posts to include what I’m reading if it’s not a book centered post. Here goes:

Currently reading:

Home – Sisters First by Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Pierce Bush

School – Isabelle Feeney, Star Reporter by Beth Fantasky & Hamster Princess by Ursula Vernon
