We had a great weekend! It started on Friday night at the high school football game. The boys’ school football team had an away game. We don’t usually go to away games, but we did last weekend. They were playing at the school Jack went to freshman and sophomore year. Jeff, his brother, sister, and mom also went to that school. Our niece is a freshman there this year. Our team didn’t win, but it was a good game. It was the homecoming game, so there were a ton of people there. It was so fun to see our friends that worked there, were alumni, and parents of current students. As athletic director Jeff had to work, but I was working the crowd!

This picture popped up in my sister-in-law’s memories and here they are in almost the same spot on Friday night.

I met a friend for a walk on Saturday morning. We tend to walk on Sundays, but Sunday’s weather did not look good for a walk. It was a great, as usual, and we did our best to solve all the problems of the world. After the walk, I was signed up to give blood. I was rejected on Monday because my hemoglobin was a little low. My numbers were plenty high on Saturday, but I probably should’ve waited. After a busy couple of weeks and a great walk, I struggled a bit after donating. I almost passed out twice (eek) and that hasn’t happened in a long time! I took it easy for the rest of the day. I wasn’t nearly as productive as I was hoping, but I decided to listen to my body and take advantage of the sunshine. I even took an accidental nap sitting in my favorite beach chair reading on the deck in the sunshine. We did finish the FAFSA form so that felt good to check off the list. I headed to bed early and read for a bit.

I couldn’t believe how late I slept on Sunday – 8:30 again this weekend! It rained all day on Sunday. ALL. DAY. I was a little more productive around the house. I watched my favorite CBS Sunday Morning before getting moving. I took some pictures to list a few things on Facebook marketplace and already have a pickup this afternoon. I worked on the spreadsheet for the kids’ swim meet entries this year to make sure they are swimming all of the events at the correct meets. We had pulled pork in the crockpot so that smelled great all day. I got a few returns ready from Prime Days. I only left the house to take Luke to swim practice and pick him up. It was a lovely day with all four of us home together, even though I didn’t take a single picture!!

This week is shaping up to be a busy one again. The only saving grace is I don’t have a concert that will keep me up way past midnight. We are going to cheer on friends at two soccer games, taking Luke to his first college fair, and I have parent teacher conferences one night. If you blogged today, be sure to link up with us below!
