Happy Friday! I’m excited to be here sharing some favorites today! I haven’t shared a Friday Favorites post since school started. Let’s get to it!
Favorite 1: CONCERTS!! Over the course of 8 days I went to two amazing concerts. I’m still singing the songs from the shows. I am also still catching up on sleep, but it was totally worth it. On Monday 9/28, Jeff and I went to see Michael Franti. I have been trying to see him in concert for three years and it finally worked out!! I was extra excited to find out that The Wheeland Brothers were opening for him. Double amazing concert!! The venue we went to was small with under 300 seats. I high fived Micheal Franti as he sang through the crowd and I even got to do a little shimmy dance with him!! INCREDIBLE!!
Then 8 days later, a few girlfriends and I went to see The Chicks. I’ve never seen them in concert and I am so glad I did. This concert was so cool. It was the 20th anniversary of their Taking The Long Way Around album. In the first set, they played the entire album start to finish. They showed parts of the Michael Moore documentary about this album and told stories about each song before playing. Holy cow! It was so so good!! Then the second set was nothing but their hits. It was fantastic!!! We got great seats (row N) and stood and sang the whole time!! It was a late night, I didn’t get home until almost 1 am, and I had to be up for work around 5:30 am, but I’d do it again tonight if I could.
I shared these at some point, but I’m doing it again. I love to make playlists from concert set lists to enjoy the show over and over again. Here they are:

Favorite 2: WEATHER!! The weather this week has been absolute perfection! The sun is shining and the temps are creeping into the 70s. My afterschool walks in a tank top and shorts make me so happy!
Favorite 3: DRESSES!! We have a great store in our town. It is a wine store that also has jewelry, clothes, crafts, home accents, and some stationary. I am sure I am missing a few things in the list, too. I was there to get my fairy hair put in and had some time to look around. I found two dresses that are so comfortable. They are super soft cotton with fun patterns. The company is called Yak and Yeti. I love the two dresses I have and will keep an eye out for new patterns next time I go for fairy hair.
Favorite 4: BOOKS! I finally finished The Calamity Club. It took me over a week to read, but it was worth it. Also, I hope Kathryn Stockett is planning on writing a sequel because I want to know what happens next to all of the girls! I am enjoying the Emma M. Lion books on audio, too. I had to take a little break to get ready for the concerts, but I’m going back to Emma soon! I started Falling for Peachtree Bluff and it is a perfect fall book!!
Favorite 5: HALLOWEEN! I don’t actually love Halloween, but I do love my Halloween accessories! I started using my Halloween Swigs and wearing some Halloween jewelry this week. I think it’s a fun way to add a little spirit to my days.
I am hoping to donate blood this weekend. I tried recently and my iron was too low. I’ve been eating iron-rich foods this week and I think I’ll be good to go. I am also hoping to go over Jack’s common app with him to get a really good day by day plan for getting everything finished pretty soon. Saturday’s weather looks great so I’d like to be outside as much as possible. Sunday looks pretty rainy and I’ve started making a list of inside things to do around the house.
