Happy Friday! I was planning to share my last Alaskan recap with you this week, but it did not happen for Summer Sarah. I had a great week full of favorites and I am going to share them with you today.
Favorite 1: JACK!! I spent the day with Jack on Monday and we needed to stop for lunch. We found a Cook Out and he was excited to go there. I’d never been but it was good. They had fountain Cheerwine and I haven’t had that in a looooong time. It was just as yummy as I remembered!
Favorite 2: POOL!! I spent a lot of time at the pool this week. Our pool wasn’t very busy this week so it was perfect for reading and enjoying the sunshine!
It was cool to see the guards hanging out and while there wasn’t anyone swimming. There is a four year age range but they all have fun together at work.
I also did my annual front flip. At least once a year, I make sure I can still do a front flip and I’ve still got it.
Favorite 3: SWIMMING!! I have been swimming laps lately and it feels great, even though it’s hard. I also enjoyed watching the Pan Pacific swimming championships. There were so many fast swims including meet records and world records.
Favorite 4: BOOKS!! I finished two books this week and am a good bit into a third. What a great week of reading! I’ll share my August reading update on Tuesday so be sure to stop by!
Favorite 5: DINNER!! I know this isn’t a very Summer Sarah thing to have as a favorite, but dinner has been a favorite this week. I did go out to dinner with friends on Wednesday night to talk about swim team, but the other dinners have been so easy. I pulled together some easy dinners with stuff from the fridge and freezer. Did we eat goumet meals? Nope. Did we eat dinner every night? Sure did. We had popcorn shrimp Ceaser wraps, quesadillas, pulled pork sandwiches on a random assortment of bread, and a sausage and egg bake. It was easy and we all had dinner.
We have a pretty easy weekend ahead of us. We are getting together with some neighbors tonight. I am hoping to swim on Saturday and Sunday mornings and spend the rest of the day at the pool. I go back to work on Monday so I am trying to enjoy every bit of the weekend. I hope the weather cooperates!! Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

Good job on the flip! Yay! Take advantage of all that pool time. I am hoping to go to the pool next week. I haven’t gone as much this summer.
