Happy Friday! Can you even believe it is May 1st?? Holy smokes, April flew by this year! I am excited to share some favorites from the week with you, so let’s get to it!

Favorite 1: CANDY! I am not sure if this is really a favorite, but I wanted to give Easter candy a little spot. I love Easter candy – the Hershey’s eggs, Nerds jellybeans, Reese’s and Reese’s pieces eggs, and Hershey bunnies – and I tend to over buy on purpose. Well, I finished all of the extra Easter candy I bought this week. I’m sad it’s gone, but let’s be honest, it is probably for the best. I will probably buy a little less next year, but I loved it while it lasted!

Favorite 2: BRACELETS!! I have been reaching for more of my colorful bracelets this week. I wore black and white, pink and yellow, and all pink.

I’m also loving my heart bracelets. These are the bracelets I have been wearing almost every day for months. All of these are from Kathryn Robnett. She is so sweet to work with and has helped me pick out or design quite a few braclets.

Favorite 3: BOOKS!! Oh my goodness, I have so many books checked out from our public library and school libraries! I borrowed 4 books from other school libraries in my county, 2 from my own school library, 25 books from our public library, and 1 more ready to pick up. AND I have 8 on hold that I hope will be ready soon. What a wonderful thing to have an abundance of!! I mentioned that I am reading all of the novels and graphic novels nominated for our state book award and libraries are the easiest way to get all those books. I am still reading an adult book on my kindle as I go to bed and if I wake up in the middle of the night. It’s a little overwhelming, but it is also pretty wonderful to have that many books I need to read quickly.

Favorite 4: NASA!! Just when I thought NASA couldn’t get any better after the amazing Aretmis II mission, I found this website. You type your name or a word and it uses pictures of Earth from space that form each letter. This is so cool! If you do your name or word multiple times, you can sometimes get different images. Our Earth is so beautiful!

Favorite 5: GOLF!! Jack had quite the fan section walking the golf course with him on Monday. It was a beautiful day and we got to watch him play really well!

Reading Lately

We have a pretty quiet weekend ahead of us. Luke will be in lifeguarding class for most of the weekend. I am sure Jack will get to the golf course as much as possible. I am hoping to read a lot and get a few things done around the house. I’m not sure if we’ll catch the Derby because Luke has an evening soccer game. I’ll see you back here on Monday!
