Hello Monday – 4/27/26

Happy Monday! I’m starting the week with Holly and all of you! I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

This is not my typical Hello Monday post because our weekend was swim/golf Saturday and swim/golf Sunday. My week was good, but it was a lot of swim, golf, and soccer with late nights. You’ve seen that quite a bit and I have two posts I was planning for Tuesday, so I bumped one to today. Amy is now hosting Fashion Files and I wanted to start linking up with that again.

I haven’t bought many new clothes lately and that feels good! My closets and drawers are pretty full and I like a lot of my clothes. I don’t buy many trendy things, which I like but sometimes it leaves me feeling a little insecure. I know what I like to wear and feel comfortable in it, but there are events when I want to be a little trendier. I try to talk myself through it without impulse buying something else. So, all that to say most of my clothes are not new but I am still sharing them. The theme of what I’ve been wearing is a quote from Lilly. She’s brilliant, always!

Our weather has been all over the place, summer hot, winter cold, and a little spring thrown in between. I have been trying to wear some bright colors while staying warm. I also have an old lady foot situation – degenerative fat pad under my big toe joint – so I wear sneakers a lot to keep it from hurting. Here we go…

These are new jeans and I love them! I bought the blue jean version in November and decided to get the white pair a few weeks ago. I got these green loafers three years ago and I still love them! I did size up a half size. This is an old Lilly top but perfect for chilly spring.
These wide leg pants are so comfortable and lightweight. I’ve worn them all winter to swim meets and when it’s warm outside but I’m not ready for shorts. I’d love to have them in navy, but I’m trying not to buy too much. This cardigan is my favorite. I have it in black, navy, gray, carmel, camel, and ivory. This Lilly top is old and shortsleeve, perfect with a cardigan in spring.
I love this pink striped lady jacket and it’s fun with these super comfy loafers. These pants are a little wide but not too flowy. They are definitely thicker than the ones above.
This outfit was so comfortable! The How Long ‘Til Summer sweater is an old Lilly and so are the pants. I love these sneakers. They make my toes and arches feel wonderful!
This is one of my favorite dresses! It’s from J.Crew factory a year or two ago. I still love these sandals that I got last spring. This cardigan is from Walmart and I would love to get it in every color, but I have that favorite one in the second picture.
I love this spring cardigan! The pants are ivory and white did not look good with it. See those suede clogs? It was not warm!

And that is how despite the forecast, I am living like it’s spring! This week’s forecast will have me reaching for some warmer, springier clothes again.

Do you see those chilly evenings? The daytime highs aren’t that warm either!

That was fun! I did notice that I need to figure out how to pose in wide legs pants. These are the best/most flattering poses in each outfit and there were quite a few that went straight to the delete file. How do you take a good picture in wide leg pants? Is it because my legs are short or I am wearing flats? What should I do? Be sure to check out Amy’s post tomorrow for more fun fashion posts. If you blogged today, please link up with us below! I can’t wait to see what you’re writing! I’ll be back tomorrow with the books I read in April, so I hope you’ll be back! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I love the navy with the bright orange cardigan. I won’t give any advice on posing for a fashion selfie as I can’t manage even a regular selfie most of the time : ) We’re warming up more slowly this spring, but I know the heat is coming so I’m okay with it. Have a nice week!
