Happy Friday! I missed posting my favorites last week because we were having internet issues. It took most of the weekend, but we figured it out and it is back. I have a big and varied list of favorites for you, so let’s get to it.

Favorite 1: OLYMPICS!! I was basically glued to my phone and the television for the 17 days of Olympic competition. I absolutly love the Olympics, the athletes, the world coming together, the stories, the triumphs, the defeats, and the resilience. I am sure to tear up at least once a day watching these athletes compete after devoting so much of their lives to their passion. I wore all of my Olympic spirit gear. I decorated the house. I stayed up way too late to watch the prime time coverage. I made cookies. We played games. We had a door decorating competition at school. I loved it all!

Favorite 2: CLOTHES! I didn’t buy much in January, but February has been full of good finds. I have been focusing on pants and I’m loving these. These cropped navy pants are so comfy. The reviews say they are frequently returned because they run long. They sure do. They are definitely not cropped!

I love these jeans, but was still on the hunt for regular jeans. I ordered four pairs from Quince and found one I love.

After I adressed my jeans, it was time to focus on black pants. I ordered a few pairs from Amazon and from Quince. I decided to keep these lighter wide leg pants, thicker wide leg pants, and a pair from Quince.

I’ve been watching this cardigan since my mom wore it on Thanksgiving to see if it would go on sale. It did and I am loving it. It is cozy and soft. I have it back in my cart to watch for another color to go on sale.

I like these pants. I ordered them in caramel and eggshell. I might have the pockets removed from the eggshell pair because you can see them and I hate that. They were super inexpensive and I like the shape of them.

I went through my sweaters and rediscovered this tunic. I know we aren’t wearing as many tunics as we used to, but it is so soft and comfy I kept it. I tried with some leggings and my new Uggs this week and it was perfectly comfortable!

Favorite 3: BOOKS!! We wrapped up our school-wide book club this week and are celebrating tonight. I loved reading Clementine together. She is so funny and the kids loved her, too. If you have elementary school aged kids, I bet they’ll love her.
I shared the books I read in February on Tuesday. I loved The Favorites for Olympic themed reading!

I read a bunch of picture books this month to get ready for our public library’s Summer Reading program and it was fun to discover new fiction and nonfiction books.
Favorite 4: WEATHER! I am loving the glimpses of warmer sunshine. I can’t say I am “loving” the snow, but it sure is pretty. We still had snow left from the January storm. I finally got the last blocks of ice and snow off our driveway on Saturday. It got covered again on Sunday afternoon. Oh well. Hopefully, we had our last snow day of the year on Monday.

Favorite 5: KIDS!! Jack and Luke have been working hard on the things they love. Isn’t that the best! Jack has been playing a lot of golf at the simulator and the range. Luke has been swimming a lot and played in a soccer showcase last weekend. Luke has also been tackling some Lego sets he hasn’t built yet.

Monthly Musings
As usual, the last week of the month is a busy one here. I am looking forward to this weekend. We don’t have many commitments, but I have a bunch to get done to be ready for the next few weeks. The forecast looks good so hopefully we can get some outside time and this snow will melt. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

Those dress pants are a good deal! I love buying a capri that ends up being perfect length for me.
I know you are having Olympics withdrawals!
I watched way more of the Olympics than I had planned to but I really enjoyed it. Fantastic buys and I love that cardigan, the pink is so pretty.
