Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week! I sure did. It was busy, but full of good stuff. Let’s get to the favorites!

Favorite 1: VISITS!! I visited my sister, brother-in-law, and niece last weekend. It was great to see them and their new house. My parents and I went for Maggie’s 5th birthday party. It was exactly what a 5 year old party should be – mermaids, dress ups, drums and microphones, coloring, and so much fun! It was sweet to meet Maggie’s friends and their moms. We had a great visit with all three of them and I am already planning our return visit!

Favorite 2: SUNSHINE!! My sister lives near Charleston, SC and it was so lovely when we were there. The sun was shining and it was in the mid-70s. How wonderful! We spent a good bit of time outside on Friday and Saturday. I enjoyed my daily walks in the sun, too!

Check out these sunsets on my walks back at home! The sunsets have been so bright this week. They are also getting a little later which I am loving!

Favorite 3: OLYMPICS!! The Olympics are coming! I am ready to hunker down in front of the TV at all hours of the day to cheer on the athletes and enjoy the Italian scenery! I am also getting ready for the 2028 Olympics and registered for the ticket draw this week.
Favorite 4: TEETH!! Jack graduated from the orthodontist this week! Woohoo! Luke lost another tooth this week, too! He still has three more to lose, but I am hoping it will happen this month.
Favorite 5: CLOTHES!! I am still trying to get back to wearing “real” clothes instead of comfy clothes to school. I wore a new sweater this week and love the bracelet stack that went with it. I was excited to wear this skirt that’s all the rage lately. I also dug deep in my sweater closet with this turtleneck. It’s an oldie but a goodie and so comfy! I didn’t wear sneakers Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday and my feet still felt good!

Favorite 6: SWIM!! Luke had a school swim meet this week and it went well again. He’s loving swimming and doing so well. I love seeing have fun with it!
Favorite 7: BOOKS! I finished two books this week and enjoyed them both. I used up my Audible credits and downloaded two more nonfiction books to listen to soon. I really prefer listening to nonfiction books and reading fiction books with my eyes. I also participated in a zoom with Sarah Hart-Unger as a preorder bonus for her new book, Best Laid Plans. I haven’t read it, but I am so excited to read it and get planning!

Favorite 8: WALKING!! I missed one day of walking outside and I could tell! I think I was mostly annoyed that I couldn’t walk because I wanted to listen our school board meeting and the Verizon outage meant I could only do it at home. Either way, I was a little cranky and put myself to bed early. I love getting some fresh air, moving my body, and seeing the neighbors. I am happy with where we live, but I would also be happy to live somewhere that I walked everywhere.

Hello Monday
Wednesday Hodgepodge
Thank you for all the tips about our fox duo on Wednesday. We are going to give them all a try and see what happens. We have some fun plans this weekend and a swim meet, of course. I am looking forward to a four day week next week with the Martin Luther King, Jr holiday. It looks like we are going to have a chilly weekend and upcoming week. I’ll be bundling up for my walks and snuggling in to read. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!
