Hello Monday – 11/3/25

Happy Monday! I am back after that five day blogging week and ready to keep it up! I’m not sure that I’ll be here five days this week, but I hope to be here more than one. I’m starting the week with Holly and all of you! I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

We had another great weekend! I’m back to sharing EIGHT GREAT things with you!

1-Halloween was a little different this year. Jack went out to dinner with friends and trick-or-treated at their house before coming home to finish handing out candy with me. Jeff had to work and came home to hand out candy with me in the middle of the trick-or-treat time. Luke went trick-or-treating with our next door neighbor like he always does, but they went out without grownups and didn’t come back for hours. Luke ended up with almost 13 pounds of candy so it was a good route for sure!

2-Jack had a double sleepover weekend. He is living his best junior year life and I am here for it. All of it. Even in the middle of the night when I am up checking for a text from him or making sure he is where he’s supposed to be. Good news – so far so good!

3-Their school had a big football game on Saturday. It was the 109th time that these two schools have played. It was a home game this year so Jeff was at school by 8:30 am for the 2 pm game. There were tailgates, breakfasts, a student parade in, senior celebrations, and storming the field after the win. It was our first time attending and it was great. We won big so that made it even more fun!

4-Jeff and I went to one of the coach’s houses afterwards and it was so nice to meet some more people. It was rather celebratory after the rivalry win!

5-I spent a bunch of time on my phone on Sunday, which I don’t love, but I was productive! I found some recipes and did a little shopping, but I forgot to take any pictures. Oops. I actually searched through my pictures on the blog to see the menus I’ve shared in What’s Up Wednesday through the years. Here’s what we are eating this week:

6-The weather was a surprise gift on Sunday! I tried to play pickleball with Luke but the courts were full. My phone was almost dead (see above) so I went with a no tech walk. I was hoping for a calm thoughts walk, but my mind was pinging all over. I came home, made a list, and got to work.

7-I got Halloween put away on Sunday afternoon. Costumes and towels are washed. I did my holiday walk through to make sure I didn’t miss anything. It’s all in the bins and ready to head back to the shed. Unfortunately, it got dark quickly and I am not putting them away in the dark.

8-I’m not sure if this is great or not, but I am buying all the jeans right now. I am discovering that I have very short legs. After buying two pairs that were way too long, I measured the inseam of my favorite jeans – 26 inches. Apparently I should only be buying cropped jeans to get the proper length for my short legs. I got a pair of Judy Blue, have you tried them? They are super comfy, but need to be hemmed a few inches. I have jeans coming from Amazon, Old Navy, and Gap. Here’s hoping I can find something!

I found two things online this week that made me laugh in a very timely manner. The first was “What if Life360 existed in 1991“. Give it a click. It’s hilarious! These pictures popped up in my memories and are always relevant when the clocks change.

I hope you got a little chuckle from them to start the week. This is going to be a relatively easy week in regards to what we have going on, but every day is going to be wildly different. I am hoping to spend some time outside before the sun sets each day and do a peloton workout in my basement after the sun sets. If you blogged today, don’t forget to link up with us below! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

My husband used to referee basketball games so one year we went as referees for Halloween too. We’re always super low key about costumes (we rarely participate) so it was a big deal for us. lol.

Sounds like a fun weekend. It’s nice everyone is doing well and settling in to their new school. I need to order some jeans and am sad my favorite pair are wearing in the backside. I feel like companies change styles so often it’s hard to just order what you already have and love. Have a great week!

What a fun weekend for everyone! I spent most of Saturday morning working on our menu plan and making up a grocery list. It’s a chore I struggle to get done each week as it’s one I really dread… and I’m not really sure why!
