Hello Tuesday- 5/27/25

Happy Tuesday! I’m starting the week with Holly and all of you! I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

Our Memorial Day weekend was pretty great! I did not take many pictures this weekend to document it. Jack didn’t have school on Friday so he played golf with my dad. Luke stayed after school to help set up for the band and orchestra concerts this week. I had play day at school and went to the pool to work on bulletin boards for a little while. It was chilly but at least it wasn’t raining!

Saturday morning started early because Luke had two soccer games about an hour away. His team won both games. We got home around 330 and dashed out to pick up Jack’s new glasses. When I got home, Luke and I went to the pool for a bit. It was FREEZING and I forgot to take a picture, but he got in and I got to see some pool friends.

Sunday morning started just as early because Luke’s team had two more soccer games in the same location as Saturday. I didn’t go because Jack had to work all day. I got some things done around the house and then we went to the pool at noon. I finished the bulletin boards and chatted with a few more pool friends. I read and relaxed in the sunshine until Jeff and Luke came over. My plan was to head home before they got there, but time flies when you’re at the pool. Jeff went home after a few hours, but I ended up staying until the pool closed. It was my first all-dayer of the year. For my newer readers, when we stay at the pool from open to close I call it an all-dayer. Similar to an all-nighter, but it’s all day. A normal all-dayer is from noon to 9 pm and that is what I did on Sunday.

On Monday morning, Luke’s team played in the tournament championship. My dad, Jeff, and I went while Jack was practicing at the golf course. Unfortunately, the came up short at the end. It was a great game and both teams played competitively. After the game, Jeff and Jack came home to get some stuff done at the house and Luke and I went to the team party. As we got home, Jeff and Jack were heading out to the golf course.

Last team cheer of the season

Memorial Day is a day that I wish we didn’t need, but am so thankful that we have. We are so grateful for the sacrifice military members have made for our country. Our freedom makes all of the fun stuff I share on this blog possible and I cannot imagine how life would be without it.

Our week is shaping up to be pretty busy. Between school, doctor’s appointments, concerts, and work, we are going to be hopping this week. If you blogged today or yesterday, be sure to link up with us below! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I haven’t been to the pool yet, but we did finally get out on the boat once. The weather has not been cooperating. My grandsons got in the lake but it was too cool for me. Sounds like you had a fun busy weekend!
