Friday Favorites – 4/18/25

Happy Friday! We are finally on spring break! Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were certainly busy days and made me so glad to have a few days off! I also want to thank everyone who commented on my Wednesday post. I appreciate your support and have hope that our district will figure something out to staff our libraries, keep everyone in their jobs, and give all students what they need. The friendships I’ve made in the blogging community are definitely a favorite! I have some more, so let’s get to it!

Linking up with Erika and Andrea

Favorite 1: GOLF!! I went to Jack’s match on Monday and it was great to see him play! He made a big putt on the 10th hole to secure his win in the match. He had another match on Wednesday against the same school and they won again! There is nothing better than watching your kids do what they love!

Favorite 2: ANNAPOLIS! Luke loves a museum, tour, or experience for his gifts. Last year for his birthday, Jeff’s parents gave him a tour of the Naval Academy in Annapolis. Our schedules and the tour schedules didn’t line up until yesterday. Luke had a great day in Annapolis with Grandma Karen! They went to the Naval Academy, walked around downtown, and had a delicious lunch afterwards. It was a perfect day!

Favorite 3: PEEP SHOW! Each year around Easter, our local arts council hosts a Peep Show. People and businesses around our county create sculptures made entirely of Peeps. We have been going since 2014. Jack and Jeff opted not to go this year, but Luke, Mom, Dad, and I had a great time! We went out to a yummy dinner afterwards, too!

Favorite 4: MANI/PEDI!! I was home alone on Thursday because Jack and Jeff had school and Luke was having fun in Annapolis. I made an appointment for my first pedicure of the season and a manicure, too. I saw some friends when I was there. It was so relaxing to sit in that massage chair and enjoy my pedicure while reading a book! Ahhh, perfect way to start spring break!

Favorite 5: MOM & DAD! I spent some time on Monday with my parents. I had a midday doctor’s appointment and had lunch with my mom afterwards. Then, I went to Jack’s golf match and my dad was there. We walked 10 holes together and talked the whole way. It was so nice to spend time with my parents and just talk with them.

Favorite 6: SUNSHINE!! I spent a good bit of time outside Wednesday and Thursday. We had our fun run at school Wednesday so I was out there for about 4 hours. It was chilly but the sun was shining for most of the day. On Thursday, I ate lunch and read on the deck in the bright sunshine. It felt great!

Favorite 7: BOOKS! I finished my book on the deck Thursday. It might be my last adult book for a little while. It is that time of year when I power through a selection of middle grade novels. I might read one more over spring break, but I’m not sure. Either way, I am looking forward to lots of reading time in the coming days!

Favorite 8: TRADER JOE’S! It is not a secret that I love TJ’s. I was there this week for a few of my reuglar items and saw that these cute totes were in stock. I couldn’t resist! I just love their bags, lunch boxes, and coolers!

Favorite 9: JEFF! Even though this season has us feeling like two ships meeting at bedtime, he is a favorite! Wednesdsay night he joined me for a walk to pick up something from a neighbor and it was nice to have a walk and time to talk with him.

Hello Monday
Wednesdsay Hodgepodge

I am looking forward to this weekend! We do not have much planned today. I have a few things to do around the house, but I am hoping to spend a good bit of time outside. The weather looks fabulous! Saturday’s weather looks great for Luke’s birthday. On Sunday we are going to Jeff’s parents and then hosting my parents for Easter. It’s going to be wonderful! Are you getting spring weather where you live? Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

Congrats to Jack on great golf! Luke’s naval academy looks so fun. That’s awesome that he loves a tour! Hayden does too. Peep show always looks so cute when you share. I think I need a TJ tote now! Haha
    Have a great weekend.

It sounds like Jack is really great at golf and Luke had a great day at Annapolis!
The Peep Show sounds like great fun! We don’t get Peeps over here in the UK unless I order them from special candy shops at ridiculous prices.
How lovely to spend some time with your mom and dad.

I’ve never heard of a Peep Show in our area but it sounds like such fun! What a wonderful few days you’ve had with so many relaxing/memorable moments! I’ve heard that those TJ’s mini totes are in high demand! Congrats on snagging a few. Happy Easter to you and your family!
