Happy Friday! Happy first Friday of 2025! I hope the year is treating you well and you’ve had a great week. I have and I have some favorites to share with you so let’s get to it!

Favorite 1: FAMILY!! We’ve had a lot of family time this week and it was great! We saw my parents on Saturday. We played games, watched movies and sports, and ate so many meals together! It was so wonderful. Some years we are all ready to go back to school, but this year we were enjoying our time together!

Favorite 2: OLIVE & JUNE!! I am an Olive & June regular nail polish devotee. I love the colors (Pink Sands is my favorite!) and the top coat. It just lasts! I got the gel kit for Christmas and tried it for the first time last night. It took me a little while, but I think I did a pretty good job! I am excited that they have a peel off basecoat and I won’t have to soak my nails in acetone to get it off.

Favorite 3: THE CROWN!! I loved the first four seasons of The Crown and am finally getting around to starting season five. I hopped on my treadmill for a walk last night and I love to watch Netflix shows on the treadmill. The Crown was great and I kept watching while I did my nails!
Favorite 4: BOOKS! I have been reading a lot and I just love reading. Over break, I woke up and read for almost an hour every morning. It was such a lovely way to start the day. When we started back to school yesterday, I read three great books with my classes. I also love sharing books with others, especially fun read alouds with kids.

Favorite 5: 3D PRINTER!! Luke and I spent a bunch of time on Wednesday trying to figure out how to make a bunch of different things on the printer. We were close, but not quite there. Jeff figured it out on Thursday and Luke has been printing up a storm, or a fleet I guess.

Favorite 6: NEW YEAR!! I love the beginning of a new year! Even though I get tired, I like to stay up until midnight to usher in the next year. It’s a fresh start and I love to think about all that could happen in the new year. As a teacher, the beginning of the school year is a fresh start. It’s great to have two opportunities for new beginnings (beginning of school and January 1) and then the start of summer which is always full of good stuff!

Hello Monday with a new graphic
Reading Update
Thursday Thoughts
They keep upping the snow forecast for today in our area and I think there is a chance for an early dismissal. They are always so fun and full of excitement. There’s a chance we might get a snow day on Monday, too. While I love the summer weather best, this winter weather is keeping things interesting. I am looking forward to this weekend. I have some plans with friends and am hoping the snow won’t ruin anything! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Happy New Year! Love your New Year outfit! So so cute- hope this is a wonderful year for you and your fam XO
Happy 2025 – love the graphic t-shirt and the nail set for at-home looks awesome!
Thank you! I wear it one day a year (the first day back in a new year) and put it away until next year. I love the sparkle font and kids love it too!
What a fun week of family time! I’ve been reading a lot lately too. Often both starting and ending my day with a god book.
It sounds like you have had a wonderful time with your family! I love the photos!
Have fun with your gel kit, I love doing my own nails.
Happy new year! Wishing you all the best for 2025.
That’s such a great list of favorites for the week! I know you love the time off from work and those leisurely mornings; I enjoy those myself and read a lot of mornings. I’m hoping to do that more this year: picking a book up rather than turning on the TV. Have a great weekend, Sarah!
I always find that reading makes me feel better than tv or phone scrolling, but it’s hard to remember when the phone or tv suck me in.
Love all the family pics. We have weather headed our way too. We haven’t had an early dismissal in years but those are more fun with anticipation haha
Stay warm!
We got one and it was pretty exciting at school after the announcement!
Ahhh so fun! I would also look on local news to see who is dismissing early knowing that if certain districts did, that we would follow:
I love all the family photos. My oldest has 8 3d printers at her dads its crazy all the things she makes.
My son has a 3d printer and loves it! You’ll be amazed with what he will make!
It is so fun! He made some really cool things this weekend already!
