Happy Friday! This was another great week that went way too fast! I can’t believe we are less than two weeks from Christmas. I have a list of favorites from the week, so let’s get to it!
Favorite 1: SWIMMING!! After a great weekend of swimming last weekend, the boys have been swimming more this week. Jack had a high school meet on Tuesday and he did a great job! They won their meet and Jack swam faster than they did last week. Jack had two extra fans this week who have quite a bit of experience watching swim meets.
The three of us have been to years and years of swim meets, but it is always fun to be in the stands together!
Favorite 2: CHRISTMAS VACATION!! I love Christmas Vacation and have added quite a few pieces from the movie to our Christmas Village. My parents gave us Todd and Margot’s house this year. I love that the tree is actually breaking the window!
Favorite 3: BOOKS!! I went to the publisher’s book talk at my indie bookstore this week. They said this is the 15th year of the book talks. I think I’ve been going for 6 years, but I need to double check my papers. It is one of my favorite book events because I always get great ideas for new books and books to give as gifts.
I am really liking the books that I’ve read from my Christmas Books 2024 list. As I write this Thursday night, I am hoping to finish my book tonight and start another. I’ll share what I’ve been reading on Monday.
Favorite 4: BRACELETS!! It is no secret that when I find a small business jewelry creator, I go all in. I still love all of my earrings and necklaces from Cora’s Den. I am loving my bracelets from Kathryn Robnett, too! I was talking with her the other night about a heart bracelet and she created it. It’s called Sarah on her website. I have been having fun making holiday stacks this month!
Favorite 5: FAIRY HAIR! I had my fairy hair redone last month and it wasn’t quite right. I’d switched colors and they weren’t taking to my curl pattern like it had in the past. So I went back yesterday and got it figured out. I got a few more in my original color and we played with the November new color strands. I love how festive my ponytail looks!
Favorite 6: NAILS! I haven’t painted my nails since Thanksgiving and I took the time last night to do it. I was ready for something festive and used this color. It’s a favorite for sure! Don’t worry, I’ll clean it up this morning before I head off to work.
I am looking forward to our weekend. Luke has two soccer games. I am hoping to get a lot of Christmas shopping finished and start wrapping. I’m planning to do some baking, too. I’d love to have a little downtime to read in front of the Christmas tree, but we’ll see. The boys have a caroling party on Sunday night with our church so I’ll need to have everything done for the weekend by Sunday afternoon. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!
