Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

Happy Veteran’s Day! Today we honor all the brave people who served in the military defending our country. I am so grateful for their service and the sacrifices they made. Thank you to our veterans!
As I have for the past few weeks, I am sharing eight great things from my weekend.

1-On Friday night, we went to the high school football game. Jeff isn’t the athletic director anymore, but our family still enjoys the perks we had when he was. Jeff stands on the sidelines, Luke hangs on the gator, and Jack occasionally comes to the sideline when he leaves the student section. For the first time, I even joined them inside the fence this week. I have so many memories of the boys on the sidelines through the years and love making more!

2-We had a mostly blank square on Saturday. (Blank squares are days when we don’t have anything on the calendar). The kids has swim practice and that was it! I tried to make it a mix of relaxing and productivity. I went through the clothes the kids have put on the guestroom bed because they don’t fit anymore. It felt good to get it all ready to give to friends and consign.
3-I found a Peloton walk that was a conversation between Matt and a doctor that talked about metabolic health. I thought it was so great. It was the best parts of a podcast, great music, and an outdoor Peloton walk all in one. I hope they do more classes like this. I will probably do this class again to listen to the conversation again. It was a little chilly, but the weather was perfect for a walk!
4-Jeff and I went out to dinner on Saturday night. We went to one of our favorite spots in town and it was so good. The food was delicious, the drinks were delicious, and the conversations was fantastic.

5-I was home and made time to watch CBS Sunday Morning. Every time I watch that show, I learn something and find something positive in the world.
6-My mom came to hang out with Luke while we went to an awards banquet with Jack. I also booked her for a few things next weekend. It is definitely a great thing that my mom is so wonderful when we need a little help and that she loves spending time with her grandkids! We did a quick back to back and the consensus is Jack has grown since October!

7-Jack won an AAU award for swimming this summer. The banquet was Sunday afternoon. We sat with great families! One from our team and another from a team near us that we’ve known for a long time. We were all so proud of our swimmers and had a lot of laughs together!

8-I did an evening yoga class after the house was cleaned up for the night and right before I went to bed. It was such a relaxing way to end the weekend.

I am joining the Share Our Lives ladies, Jen, Joanne, Sarah, Dara, and Adrienne, for their monthly linkup. This month’s topic is where do you shop? My first answer is the internet! I do most of my shopping on the internet, but that’s not a very helpful answer. My top places that I shop are:
- Amazon – I love that I can literally get anything there. I do subscribe and save for things we buy at regular intervals (vitamins, granola bars, cleaning supplies, etc.). I have had very good luck with Amazon essentials line. I’m not buying as much fast fashion, but I find some good staples here.
- Walmart – I do most of my grocery shopping here. Anything frozen, that comes in a box, or is packaged in some way usually comes from here.
- Swig – If I am buying a cup for any reason, I buy a Swig. Have you seen the new holiday tumblers? I love them! The mittens mug is so perfect for winter!
- Lilly Pulitzer – I don’t shop here as often as I do Amazon or Walmart, but I tend to get a few new Lillys every year. The clothes last forever and I always feel good wearing them! When I was picking out a dress to wear for my sister’s wedding weekend I narrowed it down to a dress I got in 2005, 2018, and 2024. They were all good choices and looked just right. I went with the 2018 dress. 😉
- Old Navy/Gap – I find some of my favorite staples at Old Navy and Gap. I love their powersoft dresses and joggers. I love classic Gap cardigans and wear them almost every day in the fall and winter.
- Brooks – My feet hurt a lot and Brooks sneakers get me through the day many days. Their holiday shoes are so fun! Have you seen the new Christmas shoes? I’m pretty sure I don’t need them, but they might arrive at my house…
- Loft – I haven’t been in Loft in a little while, but quite a few of my staples come from Loft. I can also count on Loft for a cute top to keep my classic pieces looking a bit more modern.
I am nosy curious and am looking forward to seeing where other people shop today! If you bloggged, be sure to link up with us below. I hope you had eight great things in your weekend! We have a pretty normal week coming up, and I am thrilled about that. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I love the pink and green you have on in one of your photos! I really should go get my foot fitted for the best sneaker for me and I know so many love Brooks. love seeing your shopping list!
What a great weekend- perfect mix of fun, productivity and relaxation! Congrats to Jack!
Congratulations to your son! I’m sure your mom is happy to be close too. It’s a win on both sides : ) I still like Loft too. I mostly do online as it’s a fair drive to get to an actual store. I need new sneakers for walking but have never tried Brooks. I will check them out. Happy Monday!
Amazon is my go to for shopping for sure. Congrats on the award!
So happy to be back linking up with you all! I don’t miss many of your posts but don’t often have the time to comment and/or participate.
We used to watch CBS Sunday Morning all the time – you mentioning it brought back memories. Our television rarely has anything but sports on it anymore but I have podcasts to fill my “need” for current information!
My shopping recently has been pretty much Amazon. I was not much of a shopper before the Internet either, Amazon just makes it so much easier to get things in a timely manner. The Big Boo Cast has put out their holiday list and I probably buy 75% of my gifts from that.
Have a great week!
I love the idea of a night time yoga. What app are you using?
We just met up with Alec at his college on Saturday and I remarked to my husband that he looked taller. He thought I was crazy but as we were leaving Alec mentioned he had to buy new culinary pants in a larger size since his were now too short. I knew it! You have a great list of stores that you shop at.
What a great weekend! Congrats to Jack. I used to love Loft. I need to go there and check it out. Thanks for linking up with us.
The footballs games sound like a ready family event. What fun and what a lovely Saturday with you not having much on.
You can’t beat shopping at Amazon, you can get just about anything on there now!
