Hello Monday – 10/14/24

Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday! I am also linking up with the Share Our Lives ladies today, too.

Well, this was a weekend full of fun! We started our fun on Thursday morning around 3:45 when we got up to catch and early flight to Atlanta. It sure was early, but everything went super smoothly through the airports, car rental, and travel to the resort. My sister got married in a private ceremony in April of 2020 because covid and they wanted to have their marriage blessed/recognized by the Catholic church so this was the weekend. Annie looked beautiful in her wedding dress, Zach looked so handsome in his suit, and we were so happy to celebrate them with family and friends! While everyone was there, their daughter Maggie was baptized. It was a great way to have everyone there for all of it. I’ll share some pictures later this week, but we got home Sunday night and I needed to get ready for the week. Here’s a little sneak peek.

This month’s topic is sweet tooth cravings. This is something I know all about!! I usually go in one of two directions with my sweet tooth cravings – chocolate or sugar. When I want some chocolate, I tend to go for a Reese’s or M&Ms. When I want some sugar, lately I’ve been reaching for Trolli sour worms.

As much as I love sweets, I don’t reach for baked goods much. In fact, I often prefer the batter or dough to the actual baked good. Chocolate chip cookie dough or brownie batter are so much tastier than the actual cookie or brownie.

That’s it for today friends. I hope you had a great weekend. Our weather is supposed to be much chillier this week but still sunny so I am ready for it. Don’t forget to link up with us below! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I’m glad your travel was smooth and you had a fun family weekend. My daughter had a ‘Covid wedding’-50 people in attendance, but we had a ball. I am a fan of all the sour candies, sour patch kids are my favorite : )

That sounds like such a wonderful family weekend! I can’t wait to see more pictures of everyone. I have never enjoyed batter.. it has such a weird gritty texture to me but I know I’m in the minority there.

Aww! Congratulations to your sister again. It sounds like a lovely celebration.
I love anything Reese’s, it’s only over the last 10 years or so it’s become popular here. Before that we had to buy it in specialist, American sweet shops. Now it’s everywhere which is of course a good thing!
