Happy Monday! It’s our first October Monday and I am ready for a great month. I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

Last Monday I started sharing my weekend in a new way and I am going to keep it up. In an effort to keep looking for the good, I am sharing EIGHT GREAT things from the weekend. This will keep me looking for the good (☀️sunshine☀️) even on the most mundane or busiest weekends.

1-The weather was absolutely incredible this weekend! The sun was shining. It was cool in the mornings and warmed up in the afternoon. All that sunshine made me so much happier and ready to take on the weekend! It was wonderful for watching Luke’s soccer game with my parents. It was wonderful for getting some yard work done. It was wonderful for reading on the porch. It was wonderful for bike riding and pickleball. It was all around wonderful!

2-We went to our local high school’s homecoming football game on Friday night. I didn’t take a single picture but it was so much fun. The kids both hung out with friends and so did I! I got to see some pool friends that I haven’t seen all month. I saw kids that I teach and kids that I taught. The weather was perfect for Friday night lights.

3-I got a great walk in on Saturday waiting for Luke’s soccer game to start and on Sunday with my friend Jodi. It felt so good to get a fast walk in and listen to my book on Saturday. Jeff and I were both walking the track, but we decided to listen to our individual books/podcasts. Jodi and I talked through everything that’s been going on and catch up. It was lovely!

4-My friend Kim had this fantastic outfit on at school a few weeks ago. She shared the link and I just got around to ordering it. It came quickly and is so comfy! I did a quick try on while I was going through clothes and shoes to get ready for next weekend’s celebrations, so please don’t mind everything on the floor around me. I am going to keep an eye on this for Prime Day deals and maybe get another color.

5-I’ve been on the lookout for a black nylon or neoprene crossbody that’s a little bigger than a regular belt bag, but not a big purse. I started searching and all the sudden my social media ads were nothing but black crossbody bags. I got this one and I think I like it. I am not sure about the zipper pulls, but it is the perfect size.

6-My friend Kerry has started bartending a little and her first official shift was this weekend. Jamie and I decided to give her a few easy customers. It was so good to sit and talk with Jamie and Kerry was doing a great job.

7-Our local high school’s homecoming dance was this weekend. Jack decided not to go. We had a great time on Saturday night watching the JMU game and seeing who went together and what everyone was wearing on social media. We don’t get a ton of Mom and Jack time and we had some good laughs on Saturday night!

8-We had family dinner on Saturday and Sunday evening. Jeff grilled both nights (woohoo!) and it was so nice to have all four of us around the table. I love when we are all together!
