Happy Friday! I am so excited to see a Friday! We’ve had a great week. It is another full five day week. I had four late nights, Jeff had two late nights and another one tonight, and we are all ready to go to bed early on Saturday! I do have some favorites from the week, so let’s get to it!

Favorite 1: LILLY!! I have been very happy to start getting shipping notices from the Lilly Sunshine sale. They say that it can take up to 5 weeks for things to be processed and shipped, but it’s going much faster for me. I am also happy that none of my orders have been canceled, yet. There’s still time for that, but I am hoping it doesn’t happen.

I am a firm believer in buying two of something if it fits well and you like it. When I got to school on Thursday morning, I realized that I wore the same romper in two different patterns two Thursdays in a row. Oops! No one mentioned it to me, thank goodness!

Favorite 2: AMAZON! I am absolutely loving this top I got from Amazon a few weeks ago. It is soft and so comfy. I did size down because the draping/dolman sleeve in my regular size wasn’t very flattering.

I am also loving these two skorts from Amazon. I wore one last Friday and one the Friday before that. They are so comfortable!

Favorite 3: TURTLES!! We have a courtyard at school with turtles. In the past week, our building supervisor found three babies! She takes them home and raises them for about 3 years before bringing them back to live in the courtyard. The babies are so tiny and cute!

Favorite 4: BRACELETS!! My bracelet game has been pretty strong this week! We were planning to go to the JMU men’s soccer game when they played near us, but it was raining pretty hard. I am thrilled to watch my kids play in the rain, but I do not need to watch other people’s kids play sports in the rain. We stayed home and watched it on TV, but my bracelets were ready.

This stack is Jack’s school colors so I get a good bit of wear out of them. They looked great with my new top!

Favorite 5: POOL! I went to collect a few things from the pool that we don’t like to leave there over the winter. After loading up my car, I spent a little time in my favorite spot. It was lovely even though the cover was on and starting to rain.

Favorite 6: SCHOOL! I feel like I am hitting my stride at school this week. Things are feeling a bit more routine and I feel more productive during my planning time. Up until this week, my planning time felt like a big game of whack-a-mole. One afternoon I was updating computers and working on 10 at a time. I always feel like I am an evil spy trying to take over the world when I have this many computers open in front of me at one time.

Favorite 7: JEFF! We had a reception at Jeff’s school Thursday night. It was nice to get dressed up and chat with people I don’t get to see so often. I should probably include the grandparents as favorites here because my mom held down the fort with Luke and Jeff’s parents had Jack.

Hello Monday

I have a few hopes for next Friday’s favorites – 1. Books are on the list because I am reading a bit more, 2. The “this week on Sunshine & Books” area has more than one post written, and 3. I remember to take more pictures throughout the week. We’ll see how that goes. This is the last official weekend of summer and the weather is showing rain now. I hope that the meteorologists are wrong and we get some sunshine to finish out summer. That’s it for this week’s post. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!
