Happy Wednesday! It’s the first Wednesday of the month and I am linking up with Jennifer to share five things I am currently doing. Each month we share five different things and I think it’s a fun way to think about what’s going on.

I am loving…

A catch up day. Luke had a dentist appointment yesterday and I took off to take him. I ran a few quick errands after he went back to school, but I used the rest of the time to catch up. I worked on my class, some pool stuff, and did a bunch of little things around the house. I love the feeling of knocking out tasks that have been stacking up.

I am looking forward to…

The sunshine! Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday. While it is challenging to spring forward, I love that the sun will set after 7 pm. Even though it will be darker in the morning, I am excited for the evening sunshine. And on Saturday March 16th we will have over 12 hours of sunshine! Can you hear me singing “Here Comes the Sun”??

I am planning…

When the four of us might be home to eat dinner together. Spring is shaping up to be our busiest season. Jack has golf every day but Friday, Luke is playing soccer and lacrosse, and everyone is still swimming. Jeff and I are the lucky chauffeurs.

I am starting to get a better idea of our summer plan. Gone are the days of Sarah and the kids go to the pool all day every day. I have a few local tourist things I’d like to do. The boys are going to do swim team. Luke is going to soccer camp and Jack is playing in some golf tournaments, but the rest of summer is pretty wide-open.

New goals for March! The Lazy Genius talks a lot about seasons of life. This spring is going to be a busy season of life for us and I am setting goals to make the best use of my time and make me feel good.

I am wearing…

All the bright colors! I feel my best when I have on something bright. I am still wearing winter clothes because it’s chilly most days, but I am happy to share that I did not buy any winter weather tops this year. I’ve said it before, but my style is generally pretty classic and my clothes are good quality so they last a long time.

I am looking forward to going through my sweaters again once the spring weather is here to stay. Last winter, I put all of my sweaters on the guest room bed and only put them away in my sweater dresser if I wore them. I wore more sweaters because I wasn’t ready to get rid of them. This year the sweaters are all in my dresser and I didn’t wear nearly as many of them even though it was chilly. I guess that means it is time for them to go.

I am eating…

Everything I am cooking. With our spring schedule, trying to eat healthier, and the rising cost of eating out we are eating at home more. I’m making bigger dinners so that Jeff and I have leftovers for lunch and the boys are hungry after all those activities. We’ve switched to chickpea pasta for added protein and all four of us like the Banza brand. Most nights our dinner is a protein, a salad, and homemade applesauce or a vegetable.

That was a fun kick off to March! I am looking forward to see what others are currently doing. Today is Book Character day at school. I’ll be dressed as Max from Where the Wild Things Are. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

First off I LOVE your screensaver/computer background! I’m looking forward to the extra daylight too but dread the actual time change as it always throws me off for like a week before I’ve adjusted.

I am going to echo Joanne: I love that screensaver! Now I’m going to find a new one for my laptop. I love all of your sunshine-y color in your wardrobe! You have figured out how to dress for yourself, and I feel like that is such an important lesson; no matter styles or trends, that is what we should all be doing and could take a lesson from you on this. I love your style! I am so excited about the time change, too! All great things here today, my friend. Have a great and fun day at work, and thanks for joining us this month!

Love hearing how busy and fun your spring will be- don’t you love this season? Anyway I also LOVE all of your colorful clothing- it is so cheerful and always inspires me 🙂

That is really smart to know what season of busy-ness you might have coming up and adjust accordingly. We are also trying to eat at home more, although it is really tempting to eat out as empty nesters. Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

I like the Banza brand, but forget to buy it. I need to get that back on my grocery list. I want to go through my sweaters too. It’s time for a good purge once I get through March

I kind of miss the days of being at the pool with the kids. We’ll have to see how much time we spend there this summer and decide if our membership is worth it. Having older kids is both bitter and sweet.
