Happy Friday! Happy March! January felt like it was 75 days long, but February went pretty quickly. At school, we say that September – January takes a while, but once we get through January you blink and it will spring break and then Memorial Day in no time! Time’s flying so let’s get to my favorites!

Favorite 1: SUNSHINE! Oh, the sunshine felt so good at the beginning of this week! We all got outside to enjoy as much of it as we could!

Favorite 2: CONCERT! I had so much fun at the Pat McGee Band concert on Sunday afternoon. He was one of my favorite bands in college and I saw him at restaurants, fraternity parties, and local concerts a few times. It was great to see him again after 20 years!

Favorite 3: COLORS! It is no secret that I love bright colors. I also have a lot of color in my wardrobe. This week I felt especially pulled to wear lots of bright colors. It just makes me happy!

Favorite 4: GOLF!! Jack had tryouts this week and made the golf team! He’s been working hard and we are so excited for him. He’s pretty excited, too. Begin on the golf team means he gets to play golf almost every day and that makes him very happy!

Favorite 5: X-RAYS!! So the good news is Luke didn’t break anything! I got a call from the nurse Thursday afternoon that he hurt his hand in PE and was rather uncomfortable. I picked him up and we headed to urgent care for an x-ray or two. Well, the good news is nothing in his hand is broken. It’s still pretty swollen, so they gave him a brace and sent us on our way. He seems to be comfortable with the splint/brace, ice, and ibuprofen. I have no doubt that he’ll be feeling better in no time. Thank goodness he didn’t break anything. I’m not sure we’d make it through another round of resting.

I am looking forward to this weekend. It should be a mix of going out and staying home. Luke has a few futsal games, the kids have swim team, and we are celebrating Jeff’s parents’ 50th anniversary. I’m going to get some work done for the class I am taking and get ready for a busy week. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

Congrats to Jack! Glad nothing is broken with Luke and I hope he’s feeling better in no time.
I am loving all the sunshine too. Glad Luke isn’t borken.
I hope your son gets feeling better soon and can jump back into sports!
Can you share where you found, and the brand of your geranium red sweatshirt? Very pretty and it’s my shade of warm red. 🙂
Thank you! It is a bit oranger in person. I got it from Lilly Pulitzer last Christmas. Here is a link to one on eBay. You need to investigate the quality/seller/etc. I just did a quick google search.

Yeah! Congrats Jack- how exciting! Love seeing his hard work pay off. Thank God Luke is ok- I chuckled at you not being able to survive another ” round of rest” -so funny and I can relate 🙂
Congrats to Jack! And Luke is really keeping you on your toes haha
I hope you all have a great weekend.
February went so quickly compared to January, you’re right. Blink and it will be summer!
The sunshine looks just wonderful! Send some of it this way!
The concert sounds like fantastic fun and I am loving all your bright coloured clothes, especially the orange sweater!
Poor Luke! I am glad nothing was broken, I hope he isn’t too sore now!
