Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly for some Monday fun! I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

First of all, today is the actual last day of school for students!! We had to add one day because we went over our allotted snow days this year. So here we are, on a Monday, going to school for a half day!

We had two blank square on the calendar this weekend and I took advantage of it. I did a bunch of sitting on Saturday and got a good bit accomplished around the house on Sunday.
As we get ready for summer break, I am sharing my dream travel destinations with the Not Just a Mom ladies. Here’s a picture of my travel bucket list:

I’m not kidding! I love to go to new places and will very rarely say no to a trip. It energizes me in a big way! I don’t have many pictures for this post because I haven’t been to these places yet! If I had to make a specific list, I’d say…
Iceland! I was planning a trip to Iceland for my 40th birthday in October 2020, but you can all guess how that went.

Nantucket! I love reading books set on Nantucket and can’t wait to see it for myself!

California! I want to see Southern California, drive on the Pacific Coast Highway, go to San Francisco, and visit wine country!
An African Safari! I would love to go to Africa and see all the wild animals, meet the local people, and try the food.
Greece! Especially the islands!
Positano! After reading One Italian Summer, that town is on my list!

England! Especially with all the coverage from London and the Queen’s Jubilee celebration, I am excited to visit the UK!
Great Lakes! The thought of a lake so big that it’s like the ocean is pretty cool! I’d love to see the Great Lakes!
Niagara Falls! I’ve never been and am so intrigued to see it from the American and Canadian side!
I’d love to visit all 50 states in my lifetime. I’ve only been to 20 and I’m not sure I’ll check off any new ones this summer. This is a good reminder to start planning some new state trips!
I’m sure when I read the other posts, I’ll realize I missed a big destination, but this is what I have for right now. My kids have adopted my travel love, too. They are always excited to visit a new place or check of a new state.
This summer we changed some things around. I just couldn’t decide on a Mexican resort that I was so excited to visit, so we aren’t going to Mexico. We are going to visit my sister in Atlanta, go to NYC, visit my college roommate in Alabama, go to the Outer Banks, go to Williamsburg, and do a few local day trips. It will be a great mix of downtime and travel time and I can’t wait! I just need to finish this teacher stuff for the year.
I’m ready to pack my bags, but instead I’ll be packing up the library for the summer today. Be sure to link up below if you blogged today! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I love your list! It’s a great mix of international and domestic. I’m sorry your Iceland birthday trip didn’t work out– but maybe within the next year or two?
Hopefully! My youngest has a huge travel list so he’ll keep us packing!
Loved reading this- one of my life goals is to get to all 50 states- would love if I could make that happen!
Happy last day! Your summer trips sound great! I don’t think it has to be one big trip!
I agree. Lots of little trips can spread the fun out! I am so happy to be in summer mode! I have a few teacher work days/hours but they’re totally manageable!
I would love to go to Nantucket too! I am from GA about 40 miles north of ATL, in the mountains. You should drive to the mountains and enjoy a winery or go to an apple orchard and grab a fried pie. I hope you enjoy your last half day and hop into summer!
That sounds delicious! My sister lives north of Atlanta so maybe I’ll visit her and we can make a day of it!
Seriously, a map of the world is a good description of where I want to go too! Everyone has been reading that Italian book, I need to get it!
I love the idea of reading from your travel list!
Do you listen to the What Should I Read Next podcast? They recently had an episode where Anne created book flights for a travel agent’s top 3 destinations. It was such a cool idea!
Happy last day of school. So many great places! I’d love to go to Greece too. With your love for EH, I’d have assumed you’d have been to Nantucket! Thanks for linking up 🙂
I need to get there! I am hoping Nantucket can be a fun girls’ trip destination soon!
I love your list! Positano and Greece sound like amazing places to visit. Fingers crossed that you will be able to make it to Iceland soon.
I want to visit all 50 states too and recently added the national parks to my “must see” list as well. I figure that way I can knock off a few of them at the same time.
