Happy Tuesday! I love these days when I share books I’ve read and see what everyone else has been reading lately. I am linking up with Steph and Jana to show you the books I read this month.

Always in December by Emily Stone ☀️☀️☀️☀️

Starfish by Lisa Fipps (kids novel in verse) ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

Currently Reading: The Girls in the Stilt House by Kelly Mustian

Currently Listening: Stories I Only Tell My Friends by Rob Lowe

This was a weird reading month for me. I usually read a ton over our winter break because we are driving to and from basketball games or traveling. This year we didn’t do anything or go anywhere. I thought that would set me up for even more reading time, but it didn’t. I read very little. Every time I put something away, I ended up organizing and purging that space. We had a snow day on Friday and an icy/rainy day on Sunday and I kept organizing and purging. So far, I’ve tackled my dressers, the guest room closet, the garage cabinets, the kids’ dressers and closets, children’s books, stationery and school supplies, legos (no purging), kids’ off size clothes in the basement, and photographs (no purging). Basically, but the time I sat down over break, I read for a few minutes and fell asleep. One of my goals for this month is to dedicate more weekend time to reading. Hopefully this upcoming three day weekend will kickstart me.
I can’t wait to see what everyone else read this month and what they thought about the books. I highly recommend going to Steph’s or Jana’s page and checking out the posts in the linkup at the bottom to see a ton of book recommendations! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

This looks like an awesome list- thanks for sharing- adding a couple to my queue!
I’m currently on a purging/ minimizing binge as well. I’m trying to listen to audio books while I work on this needed project.
I need to do more organizing! Glad you loved Starfish!
I loved A Season for Second Chances. I read The Lazy Genius Way in mid-2021 and I want to read it again soon. I love Rob Lowe. Is it an interesting book so far?
I listened to Lazy Genius and then bought the actual book to keep referencing. Rob Lowe is good so far, but I’ve only just begun.
Thanks for the recommendations. My January is off to a slow start with reading. I have started about 4 books and not been motivated to keep going. Ho hum…hopefully something will catch my attention soon!
I’m sorry you didn’t get much reading time in, but your organizing and purging time sounds absolutely lovely to me! I have a two year old so there’s little time for anything in this season. LOL
I enjoyed A Season for Second Chances! Always in December looks good, too!
I just finished The Lazy Genius and loved it too!
I have that Rob Lowe book on order through our library. I love that he narrates his own audiobook and can’t wait to start listening.
I am loving it so far! He is a great narrator!
Did you feel like Lazy Genius Way was a good one for audiobook or did you have to stop and take notes? I prefer audiobook since I get more reading done that way since I am multi-tasking while listening, but that might be a book I need to take notes, and I can’t do that while I am folding laundry, jogging, etc.
Heres my top ten list of 2021, if interested! https://elle-alice.blogspot.com/2022/01/10-favorite-books-of-2021.html
I loved it as an audiobook, but I did buy a physical copy to revisit.
Driving to and from competitions means I definitely read a lot less since I’m not a huge fan of audiobooks.
Glad you read so many great books last month!
