WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT…
My Google photos and Facebook memories have been sending me so many cute pictures of the boys. I love these sweet smiles.

WHAT I’M LOVING…
Jeff and I have finally figured out an evening routine that gives us some time to be productive. Sometimes we take a walk together, sometimes we workout on our own, and sometimes one of us is home alone. Of course, the fall sports season is winding down and we’ll have to figure out winter soon, but I think we can modify this great routine and keep it up.
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO…
We went to my dear friend’s wedding last weekend and had the best time!
We’ve been watching the boys play a lot of soccer and golf. They are having fun and doing well!
I have been running with friends on the weekends.
WHAT I’M DREADING…
Everything cold and dark. It makes everything a little cozier during the Christmas season, but before that it’s just cold and dark outside. The days are so short and take a while to warm up once November hits. I tend to have a little bit of a hard time with cold and dark so I am not looking forward to it.
WHAT I’M WORKING ON…
I am starting the hunt for blinds for our family room. I know we’ve had the room for a while but I’ve enjoyed the sunshine. As the sun starts rising later, it’s getting a little challenging to use the couch on weekend mornings.
I am working on my 2021 Christmas book list. There are some good books coming out this year, so be on the lookout for it!
WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING…
I do not watch much tv, but when I do I am still working through Schitt’s Creek. I watched Hocus Pocus last weekend and loved it, as usual. I am hoping to watch The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown as a family at least once before Halloween.
We are also cheering on the Braves. Jeff and the boys are so excited to watch them in the World Series.
I’ve been reading some good books. I just finished The Seven Husbands of Eveyln Hugo and LOVED it. I read Rules, the second book in the Little School by the Sea series and loved that, too.
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO…
I’ve been listening to my usual podcasts – The Mom Hour, What Should I Read Next, and The Girl Next Door. I’ve been loving the Billy Joel channel on XM radio.
Luke likes to get pumped up to We Didn’t Start the Fire before his soccer games. A few weeks ago, Spotify kept playing and he heard We Built This City for the first time. He instantly loved the song and it has been on repeat around here.
WHAT I’M WEARING…
I wore a two dresses for the first time last weekend. They are so comfy!
I’ve been wearing my fun Halloween jewelry.
I’m trying to wear everything in my closet. There have been a lot of last chance wears lately. A last chance wear means if I don’t love the clothing item when I wear it, I’m going to donate it and get it out of my closet. I’d say my last chance wears have a 50/50 keep/donate rate. It feels good to get some items out and to remember that I do like the other items.
WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND…
We are celebrating Kourtni’s 40th birthday! Luke has a soccer game on Saturday. We don’t have anything to do on Sunday!! The boys are going to carve pumpkins and we’ll trick or treat.
WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH…
I am looking forward to a weekend with some girlfriends! It will be a favorite things party, so I’ll get to share all of those things with you in a few weeks.
I love watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade with my mom. We went to the parade about 15 years ago and it was so fun!! It’s a true family tradition to enjoy every moment of the parade!
WHAT ELSE IS NEW…
I think I pretty much covered everything. I can’t wait to read what everyone else has been up to. I love to get great dinner recipes and new book or tv recommendations. I’ll be back tomorrow for monthly musings. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I dread the cold and dark too! I just ordered a bunch of holiday books from the library this week. Typically I wait until after Thanksgiving to enjoy them but for some reason not his year. 🙂
