Hello Monday – 9/13/21

Happy Monday! We had a great weekend! Jack and I went to my alma mater, James Madison University. Jeff and Luke stayed home for Luke’s soccer game. I had a ton of fun, but very little sleep so I’m sharing some pictures from the weekend.

Every person in my family didn’t go to JMU, but a bunch of us did. My parents met at JMU. I have two aunts that went to JMU. I have seven cousins that went to JMU. We are all crossing our fingers that the kids pick JMU too. Here’s the thing about James Madison, people who go to JMU love JMU. I have yet to meet someone that went to JMU that doesn’t love it. I know that seems a little excessive, but it’s true!

We were there for a football game but we also had fun walking around campus sharing our favorite memories and noticing how much has changed.

I was so excited that my college roommate, Cassidy, was at the game, too!
The Marching Royal Dukes have always been amazing! They did another great job this weekend!
When JMU scores a touchdown, we throw purple or yellow crepe paper streamers. It’s so festive and fun! 😍
How funny that we showed up with the same quarter zip?
The whole gang!

While we were at JMU, Jeff took Luke on a hike. They had the best time!

He’s playing with a new team this year so he’s learning a new game plan/philosophy. During the game on Sunday, his coach gave him a little one-on-one instruction. It’s so fun to watch him learn and keep having fun with soccer.

I spent Sunday getting ready for the week and taking a little nap. We were all excited for the first Sunday of football. I hope you had a great weekend, too! We have a full five day week at school and I’m looking forward to getting into our routine. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

That sounds like such a fun weekend! I have never even been back by my college (it’s less than an hour away as I commuted the whole time) and kind of feel like my oldest missed out on the college tours this past year.
