Happy Wednesday! We are having a great week! I am hoping to get a bunch done around the house this morning and head to the pool for a little while this afternoon. I am linking up with Anne to share a few other things we are currently doing.
I am currently admiring…
The peaceful views in our town. Jack wanted to go fishing on Monday. He suggested the river. I often forget about the river and was so thankful he remembered. It was so lovely on Monday morning. The boys fished for a while and I read while enjoying the calm.
I am currently anticipating…
BEACH LIFE!! We are leaving this week for some time at the beach and I am ready for it. I love sunrise on the beach, beach walks, sunset on the beach, and anything with my toes in the sand. The boys can’t wait to surf again. Even though I wasn’t so successful last year, I am going to try again.
I am currently enjoying…
The Olympics! I have been staying home a little more than normal to watch the Olympics. I love watching every single sport! There are sports that I would never watch if they weren’t in Olympic competition, but I can’t stop now! I am in complete awe of the dedication and work that the athletes have put into their Olympic careers. I’m not sure what I am going to do with all my free time after the Closing ceremony.
I am currently spending…
A little more time getting things done in the morning. I am joining Brandi, my old Faster Way coach, on Instagram (@betterwithbrandi) in her morning mafia. The goal is to get up in the 6 am hour and use that time to get a little more done. I am modifying it a little bit because I’m still on summer break. My goal is to get up with 15 minutes of waking up. I could lay in my bed for an hour reading or scrolling on my phone and not realize it. So for the next 60 days I am spending more time being productive. On Monday, I made a bunch of vacation packing lists. On Tuesday, I started chicken in the crockpot for taquitos and emptied the dishwasher. Who knows what I am going to get into today.
I am currently saving…
My last few Summer Beach Reads to read on the actual beach! I have Reunion Beach, The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren, Blush by Jamie Brenner, That Summer by Jennifer Weiner, and Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Five books may feel like a lot, but I think I can finish at least three and a half or four.
I love this link up because it’s so fun to see how everyone interprets the 5 words! What are you currently admiring, anticipating, enjoying, spending, and saving? If you don’t blog it, share it in the comments! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

What a fun link up idea! I am the same way, I could lay in bed for an hour doing nothing if I don’t cut myself off! Good for you for being productive in the morning. And I’m so impressed you try surfing!! Where do y’all go? I kind of attempted it at the beach this summer on my SUP but the waves weren’t cooperating– either too small and close to the shore, or WAY too big and intimidating! But I tried! I just fell off a lot 😊
We are heading to the Outer Banks. That’s where we surfed last year, too. They aren’t olympic sized waves but they roll in smoothly so we can ride them.
Love it all and excited for you for your beach time! I read That Summer (my favorite book of the year!) and The Soulmate Equation- I think you will love both of them!
Oooo, I can’t wait!
Love that idea for spending time more productive in the mornings. I need to spend less time in the mornings on my phone. Have a great beach trip!
I hope you have a great time at the beach, and that’s good you saved some good reads for it. I am hoping to read Beach Read by Emily Henry this month – it’s been a long-time coming. haha
I’ve been enjoying the Olympics too…& staying up way too late! I love how intentional you are being with your time! I always feel more productive if I can cross a few things off my list early in the morning. I enjoyed this post 🙂
Yay for beach time, and those books definitely look like the perfect stack to have with you. We’ve been watching tons of Olympics too – my 7-year-old is so enthusiastic about every sport, it’s been fun to see him learn about all these new things. We’re both going to have withdrawal afterwards 🙂
I’m a morning person – and productive mornings are just the best! A lazy, slow morning every now and then is delightful…but productive ones are my jam!!:) Have a great time at the beach!!
I hope you have a great time at the beach! I love mornings & am so much more calm & productive than at night.
It’s so fun to watch the Olympics. And I agree I am watching sports I otherwise never would. But that is the fun of it. Watching while typing this. And your reading sport by the river look so peaceful and nice.
Fishing, beach going, reading, olympics and even the morning productivity all sound delightful to me!
I hope you have a wonderful time at the beach! Your books look great and that river looks quite tranquil.
